Remote External Auditor in Alpharetta, GA US at Apex Systems Apex Systems' client is looking for a REMOTE--External Auditor! This is a great opportunity to get both enterprise and start up experience in one! Our large client is looking for an external auditor to support their law firm start up venture. If you have Big 4 experience and 1 year of experience as a senior associate and don't want to go through another busy season, this may be the opportunity for you.-- While this is a remote opportunity, this is also a client facing role (via skype, webex, zoom, conference calls, etc.) and the clients are located across the country so flexible working hours are a must. - Work with small/mid size law firms & education client to help them go fully cloud and automate the bookkeeping processes
- Automate the bookkeeping process
- Take over all back office duties
- Build business insight tool to automate everything and put all data in one place and report metrics to client on how their firm is performing
- Onboard clients to--their platform- PM responsibilities, manage client and internal team expectations/duties, delegate/manage work to other team members. Empathetic to customer experience - it's asking a lot of their clients so balance of giving breaks when needed but also deliver.
- Use Service Now for all onboarding and bookkeeping tasks
- Manage workflow for the 2 bookkeepers who report to them- take their mistakes to the client.

Desired Skills
- 5 years' experience
- Public accounting, client facing audit experience
- CPA certified
- Previous client facing role- delivering good/bad news; managing stakeholder expectations, change management, etc.
- Big regional accounting firm experience (top 10 public accounting firms, Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG, Grant Thornton, BDO, CBIZ/Mayer Hoffman McCann
Crowe Horwath, CliftonLarsonAllen, McGladrey)
- Legal industry experience is a plus

You May Be a Good Fit If:

- You are a Do-er, you will be managing bookkeepers and responsible for reviewing work & will be more customer facing
- You are looking to get out of big 4 accounting but still wanting to work a company like the big 4
- The ideal candidate: is coming from big 4 in audit practice, 1 year experience as Sr. associate and doesn't want to go through another big season
- You have a CPA but CPA eligible is also fine
- No Tax background - it doesn't transfer
- Needs formal accounting training on day 1
- We will teach the cloud based software (QuickBooks online, Bill.com, Expensify, Gusto for payroll & Clio)
