Job Description:

The roleThe mission of the Pain Finance organization is 1) to accurately represent and communicate the financial condition of the Pain franchise and 2) to quantify value through a strategic and financial lens that drives business performance, empowers business partners to make fast and effective decisions, and creates insights into past, present, and future business results. This is a unique opportunity within the organization to be part of a newly formed franchise finance team, with ample room to make a meaningful and immediate impact. The reporting analyst will fundamentally focus on providing visibility and insight into the Pain franchise financials and ensure an accurate representation of results. The group is segmented into a backward-looking component centered on historical results and a forward-looking component focused on forecasting and building value models, with both roles reporting into the Director. The reporting analyst's primary responsibility will be to lead the backward-looking component of financial analysis and reporting for the franchise. The individual will be a key contributor and leader in developing new standards of best in class financial reporting, with a focus on creating actionable, visual, and effective financial tools to empower business partners. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Director in the development of a best in class financial reporting framework by enhancing and improving existing reports, and consolidating and eliminating non-value add reporting
  • Develop and communicate monthly sales summaries with a focus on performance against forecast, budget, and prior year
  • Communicate P&L performance to key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with product supply team to develop a gross margin analysis tool
  • Lead month end close activities to ensure accurate results
  • Enhance operating expense visibility and bring accountability to spending activities with budget owners
  • Improve reporting and monthly financial package content and communication
  • Assist and lead special ad hoc projects as needed Your qualifications Required:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • 2+ years of experience, preferably in FP&A
    • Someone who is willing to learn, shows a high level of initiative, and aspires to be on a collaborative team that will be building a finance function from the ground up to drive success
    • Advanced Excel skills and ability to build financial models, reports, tools
    • Fundamental understanding of key financial & accounting principles
    • Strong analytical, collaboration, and communication skills
    • Ability to work under strict deadlines and complete ad hoc requests in a timely manner Preferred:
      • SAP, BPC, and Power BI experience
