ManagerFLSA Status:Exempt Position Summary: Credit's role is to
protect corporate assets through a quality, detailed and thorough
analysis of a submitted loan package. Credit is a member of a
diverse organization, working closely with sales professionals,
account managers and legal team. An Underwriter analyzes commercial
loan packages for new and existing dealers through analysis of
financial and performance data. This independent analysis function
is designed to provide an in-depth evaluation of the strengths and
weaknesses in commercial loan requests that will assist in
determining if the overall risk is acceptable. Must have experience
with cash flow analysis and understand it.
- This is a Permanent Hybrid position.
- 3 days in office located in Alpharetta, GA and 2 days at
home.
- Hybrid goes into place after first 90 days of employment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other
duties may be assigned.
- Analyze historical financial statements and projections,
determine risks and mitigates, describe the background of the
Borrower and conduct industry and competitive analysis.
- Evaluate the strength of borrower's cash flow and its ability
to provide for primary and secondary sources of revenue to ensure
repayment. Transactions include individual or corporate guarantors,
underwrite their financial strength and perform a cash flow
analysis, including the analysis of personal financial statements
and personal/corporate tax returns.
- Perform business and financial analysis and a general review of
the overall business structure of the borrower, perform trend
analysis and covenant compliance calculations.
- Provide recommendations for risk ratings.
- Perform credit analysis and annual reviews of borrowers.
- Leverage resourcefulness, decisiveness, adaptability, and
effective time management skills to meet service level agreements
in a dynamic market.
- Issue definitive credit decisions on commercial loans typically
up to $10,000,000, while ensuring alignment with organizational
goals and established credit policies.
- Generate key financial ratios and interpret metrics including
margin, liquidity, leverage, profitability, efficiency, and debt
coverage ratio.
- Write a detailed summation of borrowers' financial performance,
health, and profile.
- Assess and determine additional collateral requirements.
- Evaluate and analyze borrower performance based on internal
measurements and reports to include inventory management, payment
history, audit reconciliation, and covenants.
- Research and analyze UCC filings to determine priority and
nature of each filing and effect on loan package.
- Accurately communicate in writing directly to borrower and
borrowers' representatives including, but not limited to, corporate
and personal CPAs and attorneys.
- Ability to lead commercial loan package presentation to senior
executives in rendering a credit decision.
- Drive business improvements to identify new initiatives and
enhance process efficiencies.Qualifications:To perform this job

- Working knowledge of GAAP accounting and financial concepts
used in financial services industries.
- Provide analysis of Audited, Compiled, Reviewed, and Dealer
Prepared business financial statements and explain key effects on
the loan package
- Analyze SEC filings including but not limited to 10-Q and
10-K.
- Analyze borrower's cash flow cycle and effects on debt
requirements and repayment sources.
- Critically evaluate and apprise borrowers' business operations
relative to peers and industry standards.
- Ascertain principal stakeholders' personal value based on
financial statements and external data points.
- Understanding of varying personal and commercial credit tiers
including prime and subprime.
- Working knowledge of commercial lending industry's legal
framework and implications thereof.
- Familiarity with varying business structures including Sole
Proprietorships, Partnerships, LLCs, S-Corps, and C-Corps.
- Clear, concise, and effective communication across all levels
of the organization and with external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate initiative, challenge existing processes, and offer
value enhancing improvements.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
- Other characteristics aiding in daily job function include
adaptability, resourcefulness, and decisiveness.
- Proficiency with SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite including
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred; Finance, Business, or
Commerce degree considered. Prior work experience in commercial
floor planning is preferred but not required.Language
Ability:Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating
instructions and policy and procedure manuals. Ability to draft
customer facing emails and correspondence on a regular basis.
Ability to communicate effectively via phone with a variety of
manufacturer/dealer contacts. Math Ability:Ability to calculate
figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions,
proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic
algebra and geometry.Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common
sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written
or oral format. Ability to deal with problems involving several
concrete variables in standardized format.Computer Skills:Microsoft
Office required, specifically, Outlook, Word, Excel, and
Access.\Compensation:
- The salary range for this position if you have 3-5 years
experience is $70K - $90K.
- If you have 5+ years experience or more the salary range is
$100K - $130K.
- This position the range is determined by production and years
of experience.
- There is also an annual bonus is 20% of your base salary.
