Job Description
We are seeking a highly action-driven and motivated Senior Finance
Manager to lead a team responsible for driving Asset Productivity,
Finance Strategy, and Capital Management within our CHEP US
operations. This position requires a strong bias towards driving
results and will play a critical role in providing financial
support, analysis, and insights to support key strategic
initiatives, propel growth, increase profitability, and optimize
capital allocation decisions. The Senior Finance Manager will
directly manage a team of 2. The role, in combination with the
Senior AP Director, is directly accountable to deliver Asset
Productivity targets and financial improvements across the P&L
and Cash Flow. The Senior Finance Manager will, from time to time,
step in and represent the Senior Asset Productivity Director.
Scope: CHEP USA; 2 Direct Reports
Major/Key Accountabilities
Accountable to deliver Asset Productivity targets.
In partnership with the FP&A team, lead and manage the Capital
Management process, designing and implementing evolving capital
allocation mechanisms, including investment reviews and approvals.
Drive savings in cost to serve and CAPEX. Be accountable for the
improvement of Cash and Capital metrics.
Provide dedicated financial support to strategic initiatives across
the full CHEP US P&L and Cash Flow, demonstrating a proactive
approach to achieving results.
In partnership with the FP&A team, lead the long-term planning
(4YP), lead Quarterly Forecast updates, Monthly Performance
Reviews, Standard Reporting, Cash flow statements, and other ad-hoc
financial analyses, using actionable insights to influence
decisions.
Drive optimal capital allocation decisions, providing financial
modeling and scenario analysis for investments and actively seeking
opportunities to improve ULP (unit load platform) metrics. Deliver
improvements to CAPEX/Sales.
Autonomously lead end-to-end projects to deliver material financial
improvements, taking ownership of projects and driving them to
successful execution.
Develop and maintain complex financial models to assist with
decision-making and long-term planning, using data analytics to
drive actionable recommendations and results.
Accountable to track of risk and opportunities within Asset
Productivity, taking decisive action to optimize financial
outcomes. Drive the reduction in losses and optimization of the
pallet pool.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to identify revenue
opportunities, maximize capital asset utilization, and reduce
costs, demonstrating a strong bias towards driving savings in cost
to serve.
Use data analytics to provide insights, actionable recommendations,
and influence improved business performance and capital allocation
decisions, proactively driving Losses Reduction, and reduction in
cost to serve.
Navigate complexity within a matrix structure while collaborating
with diverse stakeholders across different time zones and cultures,
using effective communication to drive results.
Drive step-change improvements in how CHEP US finance teams
organize, utilize, and extract insights from data to support
strategic initiatives, using advanced data analytics techniques to
demonstrate data's applicability to solve business problems and
improve financial results.
Challenges/ Problem Solving
Develop and take decisive action to drive the financial strategy
for Asset Productivity (AP) in North America, collaborating with
Finance Business Partners and cross-functional teams to deliver key
initiatives and business growth.
Be able to step in and support and/or represent the Senior Asset
Productivity Director on a variety of financial discussions,
updates, and initiatives, including direct support to the Finance
Leadership Team and CHEP Executive Leadership.
Be accountable to provide regular business updates on the progress
of asset productivity initiatives and KPIs.
Authority/ Decision Making
Provide strategic and operational decision-making guidance to the
leadership team, demonstrating a strong bias towards driving
results, to enhance business performance regarding Asset
Productivity and Capital Allocation.
Work closely with the Senior Asset Productivity Director, Global AP
SVP, CFO, and the Executive Leadership Team to identify and lead
Brambles Strategic initiatives, ensuring proactive action is taken
to execute projects from identification to completion. Represent
the Senior Asset Productivity Director when needed.
Lead strategic initiatives from inception to the delivery of
results and be accountable for keeping leadership informed of
progress towards performance objectives and risk/opportunities that
might exist. Create narratives linking business metrics to
financial outcomes and be accountable for telling the story behind
the numbers.
Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of a 4-year financial plan,
taking ownership of the process to drive accountability and
results. Deliver Business Unit Budgeted Asset Productivity KPIs,
taking proactive steps to achieve targets for Capex/Sales ratio,
Cycle Time improvement, Lower Losses, and Profit. Be accountable
for maintaining a strong partnership with FP&A, Retail Team,
Asset Recovery, Asset Controls, Procurement, Planning, Supply
Chain, Controllership, and Global AP team.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field;
Master's Degree CPA Preferred
Proven experience in leading and managing fast-paced teams, with a
focus on finance strategy and capital management, showcasing a
strong bias towards driving results.
Strong financial modeling and analysis skills, with experience in
strategic decision support, scenario analysis, and long-term
financial planning, using data-driven approaches to achieve
goals.
Expertise in data analytics, using advanced quantitative models and
data mining techniques to provide business insights, ensuring a
proactive approach to driving financial improvements.
Experience working in a fast-paced, multinational environment with
regular exposure to senior finance leadership, showcasing a strong
sense of urgency in delivering business outcomes.
Skills and Knowledge
Excellent project management, presentation, and communication
skills, enabling effective collaboration and influence with
stakeholders.
Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at various
levels of the organization, driving action and results.
Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities to address
