OverviewThe Senior Cost Accountant position will maintain the bill of materials for the Stryten Energy Component (SEC) plants in IQMS, prepare daily production reports for management, prepare multiple journal entries during the month-end close process, prepare the monthly SEC inventory reconciliation, and perform other critical functions and analyses involving SEC inventory accounting.Responsibilities

• Maintain the bill of materials (BOM) in IQMS to ensure proper inventory costing at the SEC plants.
• Implement the annual cost roll and quarterly commercial costing.
• Prepare daily production reports for management and ad hoc analyses as required.
• Prepare journal entries timely and accurately during the month-end close process.
• Reconcile the SEC General Ledger inventory accounts to the perpetual and other support monthly, and explain variances.
• Monitor key General Ledger accounts daily for problems with production, receiving and shipping, and analyze other accounts monthly as required.
• Analyze and adjust the obsolescence reserve monthly.
• Manage the accounting for customer toll accounts.
• Assist with the annual Physical Inventory as required. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience with bill of materials and inventory reconciliations.
  • Strong organization, time-management and communication skills.
  • Strong PC and analytical skills. (Pivot tables and VLOOKUP in Excel.)
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently.
