Full-time Description PRACTICE OVERVIEW At Atlanta Center for

Excellence” by Aetna. POSITION OVERVIEW The Patient Collections
Specialist is responsible for reviewing and collecting aging
patient accounts receivables and coordinating with and processing
accounts to the outside collections agency. This position is Monday
- Friday from 7:45 am - 4:30 pm with a 45 minute lunch and located
at our main office in Perimeter. This position may require overtime
during peak periods. ACRM offers competitive salary and benefits to

Paid Time Off. ESSENTIAL DUTIES • Runs 60-day accounts receivables
report daily to identify accounts truly delinquent • Reviews
accounts for available credits, posting errors, outstanding claims,
payment plans and makes corrections to account if applicable •
Prelists qualifying encounters for bad debt and runs prelist report
daily • Reviews accounts for payments and patient disputes •
Prepares final invoice including collection fee for collection
agency • Mails account information and supporting documents to
collection agency • Processes delinquent accounts to bad debt in
NextGen • Balances transactions posted in NextGen to supports and
prepares daily balancing reports • Prints and mails collection
letters and statements for delinquent patients • Answers patient
calls and emails regarding their account balance • Contacts
department responsible for the charge to confirm accuracy of the
charge • Notifies patient of final determination and payment
options Requirements PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION
• High School Diploma • Associates Degree required • Minimum 1-3
years of collection experience • Must have knowledge of insurance
benefit terminology and be able to calculate financial
responsibility based on benefit information • Basic understanding
of IVF • Familiar with infertility terminology • Excellent written
and verbal communication skills are required • Excellent customer
service skills required • Proficient in Microsoft Office • Must be
detailed oriented with ability to multi-task and work independently
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS • Ability to sit for prolonged
periods of time • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other
office equipment • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without
assistance • Ability to push, bend, pull and twist • Excellent
attendance and punctuality commitment
