Job Description: **Role Summary/ Purpose:** The AVP, Collections Supplier/Agency, will manage the relationships of suppliers which perform collection work across various SYF clients with the focus being to reduce delinquency and losses. Supplier locations may include those located in the U.S., Canada, India, and Philippines. This role will be responsible for collection performance and regulatory adherence along with completion of assigned Outsourcing team projects. **Essential Responsibilities:** + Manage relationships of assigned supplier agencies + Drive delinquency and loss improvement in portfolios/products worked by assigned suppliers while working within an expense plan + Ensure supplier compliance with government regulations and business operating instructions and procedures + Work with internal stakeholder teams to maintain an effective supplier placement strategy + Drive improvements in supplier performance through use of analytics and leveraging of incentive programs + Prepare and present supplier informational summaries and action plans to Collection Leadership + Work with suppliers to share best practices which improve performance across suppliers and internal collection sites + Work with Business Continuity Management team to ensure assigned suppliers maintain adequate business continuity plans + Assist with negotiations / restructure of supplier agreements, as required + Participate on cross-functional project teams to improve business level processes, as required + Assist in the standing up of new supplier sites + Lead or assist with other Collections initiatives as assigned **Qualifications/Requirements:** + 3+ years of experience working in Financial Services, Collections, Operations or Customer Service setting + Knowledge of collection metrics and collector level measurements + Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills + Broad knowledge of applicable financial services laws, regulations, operating and process instructions (including FDCPA, FCRA, Bankruptcy Code) + Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment + Proficient in the use of suite of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) + Travel required ? up to 25% **Desired Characteristics:** + 3+ years of experience is credit card industry with expertise in Collections + 2+ years of supplier/vendor management experience + Self-starter; takes initiative to identify and solve problems using data and critical thinking + Strong customer-focus and results orientation + SYF First Data systems experience + Demonstrated data analysis, problem solving, and attention to detail + Compliance and governance experience + Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and present to all levels of the organization + Bachelor?s Degree in Business-related field **Eligibility Requirements:** + You must be 18 years or older + You must have a high school diploma or equivalent + You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the selection process + You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act. + _Effective 1-1-18, new hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months? time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles._ Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months? time in position before they can post. The salary range for this position is 70,000.00 - 150,000.00 USD Annual Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
