There are two exciting opportunities to join the Atlanta Braves Grounds Crew staff! Grounds Crew (Gameday Staff), Atlanta Braves Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following: Assist with the operation and upkeep of the playing surface Pre-game and post-game preparation Assist in rain delay procedures Baseball Specific: Clay areas and grass to skin transition Safely perform all duties and responsibilities Work with supervisor to obtain goals All other duties as assigned Physical Demands: Must have the ability to do heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and deal with all kinds of weather conditions. Seasonal Grounds Crew (Day Staff), Atlanta Braves Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following: Daily maintenance of a Major League Baseball field Operation and daily maintenance of all equipment related to field maintenance Maintenance of all batting cages, field screens, and enclosed hitting tunnels Daily cleaning of field, dugouts, bullpens, maintenance shop, and all equipment Perform all pre- and post-game field preparations Safely operates a light tractor, mower, and small gasoline-powered machinery Safely operate such tools as edge trimmers, sprayers, sod cutters, line markers, and various hand tools Performs routine maintenance on all equipment Pulls all field-related equipment, to and from the field, when needed Pulls all field tarps, on and off-field, when needed Performs all other job duties as required by Supervisor Job Requirements: Experience in maintaining natural grass athletic fields is preferred, but not required Experience in the operation of utility carts, mowers, tractors, and other gasoline-powered equipment is preferred, but not required Must have the ability to do heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) Ability to perform light to heavy physical activity and work under adverse weather conditions Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and if necessary, work long hours, and on-call when needed and Flexible hours Gameday and other event (i.e., concerts, corporate events, clinics) responsibilities Must be able to work scheduled hours The Atlanta National League Baseball Club, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
