Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1 years
Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. This position is for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of
Hearing to support an elementary student within a school in the
Atlanta area. The assignment is a leave replacement contract,
running from March 17 to May 22, 2026. The candidate will provide
focused educational support, following a single student with
specific needs in a one-school setting. Key details include:
Location: Marietta, GA (Atlanta area) Schedule: Monday through
Friday, 10:20 AM to 11:50 AM EST (strict hours) Weekly hours: 7.5
to 10 Student age group: Elementary school-aged Discipline:
Specialized instruction for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
Qualifications and experience desired: Active Georgia DOE
certification in teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing students Fluency in
American Sign Language (ASL) is required Experience levels from 0
to 10 years are considered, with compensation aligned to experience
Responsibilities: Deliver tailored instructional support to a
student who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing Utilize ASL effectively to
facilitate communication and learning Collaborate with school staff
to adapt lessons to meet the students individualized educational
needs Maintain a consistent schedule to provide reliable support
