Job Description:

The Sr. DevOps Engineer is responsible for leading enterprise strategy, design, planning and delivery of solutions using complex technical skills and interpersonal competencies. In addition, provides technical leadership across the organization, develops, updates and executes repeatable strategic planning process to ensure Assurant stays aligned with emerging technology. Defines Enterprise technology strategies at the highest levels and defines adoption of new technologies for multiple complex technology domains. Creates strategic engineering designs for complex converged platforms including hardware, software, automation and monitoring.DevOps Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement software integrations based on user feedback.
• Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with the development team to streamline code deployment.
• Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines).
• Analyze code and communicate detailed reviews to development teams to ensure a marked improvement in applications and the timely completion of projects.
• Collaborate with team members to improve the company's engineering tools, systems and procedures, and data security.
• Optimize the company's computing architecture.
• Conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability.
• Develop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentation.
• Apply cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) computing skills to deploy upgrades and fixes. Basic Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or equivalent software-engineering role.
  • 3+ years of experience in code deployment tools (Puppet, Ansible, and Chef). - - Ansible is critical
  • 7+ years of experience in an information technology infrastructure roleOther Experience:
    • Experience in network, server, and application-status monitoring.
    • Expertise within the container and container orchestration space (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
    • Experience working with infrastructure provisioning tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, others
    • Strong command of software-automation production systems
    • Exhibit expertise in software development methodologies.
    • Working knowledge of Ruby or Python and known DevOps tools
    • Working knowledge of databases and SQL (Structured Query Language).
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
    • Deep understanding and application of computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
    • Can work independently and as part of a team.
    • Experience with Agile software development, project management methodologies
