Position Overview: Portfolio Development is a key part of our corporate go-to-market strategy and a new position is now available for an Portfolio Development Manager focused on Advanced Machine Builders in the US market. As a Portfolio Development Manager, you are expected to have a strong background and experience working with machine builders as well as the latest digitalization transformation technologies such as simulation, mechatronics, safe kinematics, robotics, digital twin, and OT/IT integration. You will lead the development and execution of campaigns and initiatives targeting machine builders and focused on the design, build, commissioning, and service lifecycle of the machine builder. Working closely with the sales team, you will drive digital transformation at customers proposing a unique portfolio of automation, motion, and digitalization technologies from Siemens. You will be technically proficient, commercially savvy to conduct portfolio discussions with machine builders in order to develop new, sustainable business. Responsibilities: * Advocate and drive the development of the portfolio through the identification of a clear target market and go to market strategy, and the execution of campaign and initiatives to lever and maximize opportunities with machine builders. * Identify and track relevant industry trends and produce growth forecasts. * Analyze competitor portfolio to establish differentiation for portfolio across markets. * Identify key opportunities for the region, defining the industry, geography, and target accounts. * Act as a trusted advisor to sales, business development, and pre-sales teams by providing direct engagement with customer, as part of the sales pursuit team, for key must-win accounts. * Establish clear market positions for the portfolio, understanding what problems we are solving, and the business value delivered to customers in order to build a compelling sales message. * Ensure that the regional roadmap of campaigns/initiatives/services are widely understood and supported as they relate to this portfolio domain. * Help Channel Management target and enable partners to support incremental portfolio growth opportunities as appropriate. * Establish and track measurable goals for monitoring portfolio growth. * Support customer marketing events across the region. Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: * Bachelor's Degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering, or electro-mechanical engineering, or a similar field. * Must have more than 5+ years of demonstrated ability in the Machine Building industry/Production Machinery domain and/or automated production. * Siemens' Automation & Motion Control experience including S7 and/or TIA Portal, SINAMICS etc. Provides advanced and comprehensive technical application assistance in key sales situations. * Experience in a sales-quota carrying, customer-facing sales, or business development function * Proven track record to deliver on revenue targets * Able to understand, articulate, position and present the value of the portfolio and/or solution in the context of an industry and customer's business * Displays a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-functional problems and opportunities. Display original thinking in applying principles, theories, and concepts on a wide range of problems. * Experience with CXO level discussions * Knowledgeable of the competitive landscape * A good communicator with sales knowledge, business development experience and excellent presentation skills * Proactive and energetic with a high degree of self-motivation to develop and grow this portfolio * This position requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they are granted a medical or religious exemption." #LI-VM1 Organization: Digital Industries Company: Siemens Industry, Inc.
