Epitec POSITION: Governance, Risk, and Compliance Analyst JOB TYPE: W2 Full Time Contract LOCATION: Alpharetta, Georgia JOB SUMMARY FOR GOVERNANCE, RISK, AND COMPLIANCE ANALYST: Can the Candidate be remote? Return to the office is scheduled for early-mid January; remote prior to that time. If Yes, what time zones? EST Possibility for Extension? Yes Assist senior members of the team with the coordination and completion of compliance projects; setting deadlines, coordinating activities and resources, monitoring and summarizing progress of projects that impact multiple departments, systems, or work-flows with moderate to high complexity; investigating and resolving compliance problems and responding to questions from internal sources and regulatory agencies; responding and successfully resolving external inquiries regarding company's compliance with certain contractual deliverables; interpreting laws and government regulations affecting the operation of the organization; implementing policies and procedures to ensure organization compliance with regulations and regulatory reporting requirements; effectively communicating with internal and external customers, management and LexisNexis functional areas by presenting problem resolution, compliance information and metrics and status reports in a professional manner. Job Requirements:RESPONSIBILITIES FOR GOVERNANCE, RISK, AND COMPLIANCE ANALYST: -- - To get started, can you give me a quick overview of your team and what you do? The Insurance Operational Compliance Team is collaboratively building a proactive data security and compliance governance program to tactically and strategically address the ever-evolving multiple cybersecurity and compliance control frameworks. The person who will be successful in this role will be somebody who? Completes work with a limited degree of supervision; is highly flexible, organized and works well in team environment. What would you say are the TOP 3 must-have skills you're looking for? (Measurable skills, technologies, etc.) -- --- - a.) Excellent organization and analytical skills/scheduling and time management -- --- - b.) Effective written and oral communication skills -- --- - c.) Critical thinking and problem solving skills How many years of experience are you looking for? 3-5 As you start to go through resumes, what would stand out to you as the BEST candidate versus an AVERAGE candidate? The best candidate would have contract compliance, data privacy and security experience with project management skills. Does your teamwork standard core hours or does that vary? Standard. Work-life balance is very important to our team. Do you need someone with a particular degree or certification? PMP certification is a plus but not required. What are some of the performance indicators you'll be looking for once this person ramps up? (Meeting deadlines, quality of work, etc.). Meets deadlines with high work quality, identifies and leads process improvements, ability to understand what is being requested and successfully completes the task with minimal supervision.
