Job purposeSupport revenue-building activities by leading the commercialization process of new products in partnership with external customers and internal stakeholders - Work alongside Business Development professionals and directly with current/prospective clients to commercialize new items/programs, providing leadership of each project and coordination with internal resources across multiple functions.
Main responsibilities and key tasks - Manage the commercialization of new items within a given categoryo Manage the commercialization project from inception to first production, coordinating closely with Customer Service and Supply Chain Management resources as the project moves from a pre-operational stage to an operational stageo Coordinate development and approval of project-specific graphic designs or materials (e.g. packaging graphics, printed materials, unique materials, etc.) with customers and internal sourcing organizationso Provide project visibility and coordination with internal groups (e.g. Planning, Sourcing, etc.)o Ensure items are properly set up within all relevant information systemso Manage/coordinate activities related to the discontinuation of existing items that are being replaced, striving to minimize obsolescence and associated financial impact - In coordination with internal technical resources, provide the tools to the selling team(s) and/or directly to the client that support initial proposals/strategieso Product and packaging specificationso Testing resultso QA certifications and other technical informationo Internal project development and communicationo Customer portal requirements
Job requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Economics, sales, marketing or equivalent
  • Fluency in English, any other language being an asset
  • Proficiency in Project Management and a process-oriented mindset, high attention to detail
  • Self-starter with corporate entrepreneurship spirit
  • Teamwork and collaboration with good multi-functional interpersonal skills
  • Projectability to roles with increasing responsibility and requirements

    Job complexity and challenges - Diplomatically directing activities of other people/departments without direct managerial authority - this role is at the nexus of Sales, R&D, and various Operations functions - ability to influence others is a critical requirement of the role
    - Manage multiple, complex internal projects involving cross-functional teams (sales, R&D, supply chain, production, customer service) and cross-organization (Group, Divisions, Local team) - Driving a project management process with groups/individuals who are not accustomed to it - Handling the ebbs and flows of workload and priorities
