Job Description:Role Summary/Purpose:This role will identify and
lead strategic growth opportunities for the Pet vertical under the
Health & Wellness platform. The position reports directly to the
Senior Vice President, GM - Pet and will work cross functionally on
driving growth through new products, new markets, and strategic
partnerships, encompassing both the credit and insurance products
as well as new growth markets and products.Were proud to offer you
choice and flexibility. You have the option to be remote, and work
from home, or come into one of our offices. You may be occasionally
requested to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement
activities such as team meetings, training and culture
events.Essential Responsibilities:
- This role will work across the pet team with a focus on growth
through new products, new markets, and strategic industry and
technology partnerships to further enhance the CareCredit, Pets
Best and Synchrony brand in the pet industry and drive growth.
- This role will be responsible for identifying and leading
expansion into new growth markets, new product launches, and new
industry partnerships.
- This role will work cross functionally to communicate and
educate the organization on key opportunities within the pet
industry and how they will impact our P&L.
- Own monthly operational and portfolio updates to the
cross-functional pet resources, functional team, and business
management.
- Work closely with project management and execution teams to
ensure that projects are advancing and on track for execution.
- Partner with the Growth and Strategy organizations to ensure
efforts align to pet industry strategy and provide partnership and
guidance to all pet market efforts.
- Provide oversight into special projects, pilots and product
updates that impact the pet industry
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as
assignedQualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, a minimum
of 10 years+ of equivalent work experience in the financial
services field, pet industry or insurance as described below.
- Minimum of 6 years of client relationship / consulting,
strategy and/or business development / growth experience in one or
more of the following industries: financial services, pet industry
or insurance
- Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience including
formally leading a team
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in delivering formal
communications to either senior business leaders or key external
business partners.
- Experience launching new initiative and /or new products to
assist in growth of a business
- Ability to travel up to 50% including overnight and some
weekend travel.
- Strong influencing, negotiation, contract, and project
management skills
- Remote worker or Any SYF Hub USA
- This role offers flexibility and can be remote based where will
work from home. Role will require travel to client facing meetings
and commute to one of our offices for in person engagement
activities such as team meetings, training and culture
events.Desired Characteristics:
- Prior sales leadership experience in financial services or
within industry.
- Prior strategy experience in the financial services or pet
industry.
- Experience utilizing technology to grow a business Business
Development experience
- In depth and demonstrated understanding of varying consumer
finance and insurance products.
- Previous experience working cross functionally with dispersed
teams.
- Analytical thinker with excellent communication, deal
execution, and presentation skills.
- Strong financial and pet business/industry acumen.
- Proven ability to influence corporate decision makers in the
finance or pet industry.
- Proven ability to work remotely and independently.Grade/Level:
14The salary range for this position is 115,000.00 - 230,000.00 USD
AnnualSalaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY
and some positions are bonus eligible.Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background
investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding
process
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of
the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
- New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service
with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.
Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the
associate will have a minimum 6 months time in position before they
can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or
greater, must have at least 24 months time in position before they
can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance
expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the
approval of your manager and HR if you dont meet the time in
position or performance expectations).Legal authorization to work
