Phone allowancePrimary Purpose:The primary purpose of the Energy
Manager is to lead and implement energy conservation projects
across the enterprise and responsible for the development of
long-term plans and utility data management.Work Performed:The
Energy Manager will be tasked with the following duties,
responsibilities, and assignments:
- Develops comprehensive water and energy efficiency assessments
using qualified third-party partners;
- Develops business case assessments and ROI analysis which will
be used to determine project approvals;
- Manage the design, bidding, and execution for projects
identified within the water and energy assessments that meet the
investment goals of the company this includes managing the budget,
timeline, and specifications;
- Recommends ideas for more energy-efficient operations and other
savings opportunities;
- Publishes monthly reports on energy, water, and carbon
footprint;
- Tracks and report on enterprise consumption, variance to annual
reduction targets, costs against budget, and year over year
costs;
- Partner with property teams to review existing MEP systems or
plan future projects to ensure the design information, system
layouts, and specifications are accurate;
- Lead the energy procurement and Engie Utility Bill Pay
programs;
- Administration of federal, state, and local rebates and
grants;
- Executes energy modeling, verification, measurement,
commissioning, or retro-commissioning of existing assets; andAny
and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of
the position.Qualifications:Required Prior Experience:5+ years of
experience in MEP engineering, building technology, and/or
facilities operation with minimum 2+ years of experience in
managing utilities and energy systemsWorking knowledge of
construction and engineering labor and material cost
managingWorking knowledge of facilities regulations and safety
standards (i.e., OSHA, EPA, ADA, CFC, NFPA)Preferred Prior
Experience:Knowledge of renewable and on-site energy systems and
ability to vet renewable generation business cases.Ability to
create SOW and negotiate long and short-term agreements for bill
pay, utility metrics tracking, sustainability consulting and
auditing vendors.A fundamental understanding of a P&L
statement. Hospitality experience.Required Education:Bachelor's
degree in Energy, Finance, Procurement, Architecture, Engineering,
or other related field of study or Equivalent Work
ExperiencePreferred Licenses/ Certification:CEM or similar
designationsRequired Technology:Proficient in Microsoft
Applications - OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Office 365, Outlook,
Excel, and Power BITravel:25% or moreMust be able to travel to a
