Job Description:
Lead and manage the QA team, providing guidance, mentorship, and
coaching to ensure their success and professional development.
Develop and implement QA strategies, standards, and processes that
align with company goals, industry standards, and best
practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product
management, development, and customer support, to ensure effective
communication and alignment on project goals and quality
standards.
Define and track QA metrics, including defect rates, test coverage,
and testing timelines, to drive continuous improvement and optimize
testing processes.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as
ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and NASPL regulations.
Participate in the design and implementation of test automation
frameworks and tools to streamline the testing process.
Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in quality
assurance methodologies and technologies and apply them to improve
testing processes.
Conduct risk assessments and mitigation plans to ensure that
potential quality issues are identified and addressed
proactively.
Manage the budget for the QA team, ensuring that resources are
allocated effectively to meet project timelines and quality
goals.
Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as customers and
vendors, to ensure effective communication and alignment on quality
requirements. n/a
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or
a related field (or equivalent work experience).
10+ years Software QA experience in a software development
environment.
Proven experience as a Senior QA Manager or similar role,
preferably in a software development environment.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques,
and best practices.
Experience managing a team of QA testers and developing effective
QA strategies and processes.
Familiarity with test management tools and test automation
frameworks.
Solid knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile
methodologies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong
attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly
articulate and document defects and issues.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a
fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
ISTQB or other relevant certifications are a plus.
