Overview: We are looking for an Area Director Clinical Operations
to join our team to support our branches throughout Central GA.
This position will directly report to the Regional VP of Clinical
Operations. This position will assume responsibility of clinical
services and assures compliance with federal and state regulations
as they apply to the provision of home visits to patients.
To qualify for this opportunity you MUST have hospice management
experience, be a Registered Nurse ( RN ) and reside in Georgia.
- Directs and coordinates all direct and indirect patient
services
- Monitor agency level adherence to policies and procedures
- Develop and implement annual education requirements for all
clinical staff
- Coordinate patient records and quality assurance
activities
- Coordinates with the appropriate corporate staff, Medical
Director, Clinical Manager, and Executive Director and
Administrators on a regular basis.
- Develops and expands revenue performance
- Shares responsibility for the supervision of day-to-day
operation of the agency General Duties and Responsibilities

- Acts as a role model within and outside the Agency.
- Performs duties as workload necessitates.
- Maintains a positive and respectful attitude.
- Communicates regularly with supervisor about Department issues

improvements to policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other
meetings and seminars.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

- Completes required Compliance annual training. Essential
Functions of Position
- Directs and coordinates all direct and indirect patient
services.
- Monitors agency level adherence to policies and
procedures.
- Develops and implements annual education requirements for all
clinical staff.
- Coordinates patient records and quality assurance
activities.
- Collaborates with Vice President and Area Vice Presidents of
Operations in evaluation of agency administrators.
- Assures appropriate orientation of new hire nursing staff.
- Assists agencies in meeting and exceeding all applicable
regulatory and company requirements, by ensuring the implementation
of the company's systems, policies and standards in readiness
preparation for all inspections, surveys, and review, including
state licensure, federal certifications, and accreditations.
- Develops and expands revenue performance related to vendor
management per patient day costs.
- Takes overall responsibility of the quality of the clinical
services provided at the agency including the home, hospital
settings, nursing homes, and other locations
- Assures the proper handling and resolution of any complaints
from patients, families, and the public.
- Participates in the coordination of all aspects of the
patient's hospice care and in the hospice's quality assessment and
performance improvement program.
- Perform other duties as assigned Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
- Familiarity with state and federal guidelines and
regulations
- General working knowledge of budget development, financial
profit/loss process, and human resources
- Ability to work with confidential information
- Well organized and confident to work independently, but is a
team player
- Ability to communicate clearly to remote field, mid-level, and
executive staff
- Exercises professional judgement and demonstrates good
problem-resolution skills
- Very comfortable working with multiple online and computer
applications
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and manage conflicting
priorities
- Strong follow-up skills Education/Experience:
- RN degree required; bachelor's degree in nursing
preferred.
- Two years previous managerial experience, of which 3 years is
in hospice service industry, is preferred.
- Familiarity with state and federal guidelines and regulations.
License/Certification:
- Valid driver's license and automobile liability insurance
coverage
- Unencumbered and active RN license in state of residence
required if RN Training/Equipment:
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Basic PowerPoint skills
- Experience reviewing data in electronic systems
- Experience with HomeCare-HomeBase preferred About You:
- Registered BSN preferred
- Unencumbered RN license in the state of residence
- 5 years clinical experience; minimum 3 years of experience in
hospice
- 2 years previous managerial experience
- Strong knowledge in the area of hospice operations
- Knowledge and skill of professional nursing theory and
practice
- Strong leadership skills
- Familiarity with state and federal guidelines and
regulations
- Able to travel throughout the assigned area routinely,
