We are seeking an Executive Vice President to lead our award-winning Industrial Practice. The most important performance objectives for the individual we are seeking in this role is to lead the development and oversee the implementation of strategic marketing and business plans for the Industrial market through collaborative efforts with the Management Team, Market core group and EVP peers. A proven track record of delivering results is essential. In other words, we’re interested in someone who has all the skills and passion to promote growth across all markets through cross-selling and other business development collaborative avenues for the overall growth and success of the Firm. Generally, the EVP should have a background in engineering, architecture, or design. The EVP’s most recent work has been focused on business development with a record of strong repeat clients frequently winning larger fee projects. Accordingly, the EVP is not deeply engaged as a practitioner. The EVP must have extensive relationships in one of the major markets where Company has an existing office such as Nashville, Charlotte, Atlanta or Dallas. Proficient in all areas of proactive business planning, including identification of relevant metrics. Proven past performance in leadership and revenue growth of a consulting services Market. Direct relationships and knowledge of clients and trends in the Industrial Market. Ability to professionally negotiate with and persuade others while maintaining ethics and core values. Track record of identifying, developing and motivating future leaders. Track record of recruiting and hiring high level professionals. Maintains local, regional and national relationships and enhances Company reputation. Strong organizational and team oriented inspirational / motivational skills. Able to pursue and capture aspirational clients Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes that can be applied across a number of industrial markets Strong knowledge of project delivery methods, and appropriate roles for Company Program Management knowledge and experience Market Business Development and Strategic Oversight Responsible for establishing the overall strategic vision and direction of the market by serving as a leader in the research/information gathering process to identify new services and geographic areas with high growth potential. Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring business, tactical, strategic and vision plan(s) for market(s). The EVP collaborates with the Management Team and Core Group during the business planning process and leads the market Project Executives in business and tactical plan development and implementation activities. Active and stringent in identifying deficiencies in the implementation of business/tactical plans and collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to develop and implement timely improvement strategies. Coordinates with Core Group and Project Executives to identify key pursuits critical to market growth. Responsible for establishing and leading a market Core Group of strategic market leaders. The market Core group should focus on making high level strategic decisions for the market and providing leadership and direction to the market. Partners with the market Core Group and Project Executives to develop a tactical client engagement plan to identify new strategic clients and business relationships; to foster current client and business relationships; to monitor client satisfaction of Project Executives, pursuit leads, and project teams; and, to assure clients of their value and importance to our Firm. In certain situations, it may also be appropriate for the EVP to also serve as the lead client Project Executive. The EVP often serves as Company’s market leader at key external functions as designated in the PR plan. Minimum Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge and application of supervisory practices and enforcement of standard policies and procedures of a Firm. Ability to serve as a strong leader, mentor, and people developer. Advanced knowledge of marketing practices, strategic planning, and business development principles. Ability to interact professionally and comfortably with a variety personalities and communication styles. Adept in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues. Ability to initiate and maintain extensive contacts with professionals and officials of other organizations, companies, and associations. Ability to win work and lead business development initiatives as well as provide guidance and leadership to others in related activities.
