Job Description:

Contract Negotiations Director As a key member of Fiserv s Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM) Team, you will partner with business and technology teams across Fiserv to handle the vendor relationships within the Fraud and Financial Crimes Solutions Business. You will focus on extracting maximum value from contractual agreements impacting speed to market, growth, governance and relationship building, all the while handling the associated risks. You will perform as the functional bridge amongst the external vendors and internal partners. This is an individual contributor role. Essential Job Responsibilities: Runs the evaluation, selection, transition and monitoring of contractual agreements for partners/vendors for FCRMNegotiate complex deals and lead the coordination with executives, legal, compliance and Corporate development.Contributes to long range planning and annual operating plan strategic discussionsCollaborates with areas of their designated organizations to ensure vendor partners are effectively managed and contracts are fully leveraged.Responsible for key Fiserv BU-2-BU (business unit to business unit) relationshipsResponsible for Contract Management/Consolidation which includes consolidating smaller vendors into our ELA s, finding opportunities to use ELA s, redirecting tooling to ELA s, work with procurement to maximize ELA s purchases related to comparable products, etc.Use discernment to evaluate if every renewal is still needed and determine if we should take business risk vs. gain, etcUnderstands the lifecycle of enterprise applications and understands different development processes SLA.Acts upon gathered performance data and provides periodic feedback to vendors to ensure quality.Assists in establishing SLA and metrics scorecard including quality measurements.Monitors results against goals via vendor scorecard; actively review scorecards to preempt dissatisfaction.Plans and conducts formal periodic performance reviews with each vendor, as applicable.Compiles and analyzes trends that affect budgetary needs.Regularly reviews and evaluates internal and external Service Level Agreements to identify areas of improvement relating to agreements and contractsProvides escalation point to resolve contractual issues.Develops processes by which vendors are evaluated and selected in accordance with company guidelines and standard methodologies.Ensures that each vendor meets the Fiserv criteria, according to established guidelines (documentation, quality, business practices, ethics, availability of staff, etc.).Provides input as needed for budgeting and assists in crafting budget justification materials or business cases.Strategic Vendor Management Attends vendor sponsored conferences and events to understand vendor strategy and market trends.Performs industry analysis for new technologies, user groups, etc.Participates in Fiserv s strategic direction/initiatives and ensures programs are in alignment.Works with functional owners to identify potential improvement areas and support to explore expansion across new business linesFinds opportunities to collaborate across the organization s vendor relationships. Builds successful relationships with vendor contacts at all levels of the organization. Basic Qualifications for Consideration: Education:Bachelor s degree Job Experience:5+ years of strategic sourcing or corporate business development experience5+ years of deal making experience in a relevant industryExperience in the financial services or software industry Preferred Qualifications for Consideration:Masters DegreeCustomer facing negotiation skills and experience interacting with customer executives.Clear understanding of vendor management concepts and implementation techniques, including contract negotiation and vendor performance monitoring.Strong experience completing vendor evaluations and preparing RFPs.Strong analytical skills and experience in vendor pricing methods e.g., rate cards and pricing methodologies.Proven leadership skills and business acumen.Solid experience in process improvement and change management.Ability to create structure in a fast moving and growing environment.Solid thought leadership and ability to influence others through collaborative efforts.Proven ability to understand complex business and technical concepts and the ability to make balanced judgments when faced with trade-offs.Learn more about us.
