Located in Alpharetta, GA, this contract nursing opportunity offers a chance to provide specialized step-down care during the night shift hours of 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. With every other weekend and holiday coverage requirements, this role demands a committed professional ready to make a meaningful impact in patient care. This role is designed for a Registered Nurse who is an integral member of an interdisciplinary team focused on delivering individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care. The position emphasizes evidence-based practice, collaboration, and professional development within a supportive clinical environment. Critical responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, coordination of care, relationship-based patient centered care, and active participation in performance improvement and shared governance initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Apply the Nursing Process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Provide culturally competent, patient-centered care based on population-specific needs. Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Support interdisciplinary teamwork and contribute to quality care documentation. Participate in ongoing professional education, mentoring, and competency assessments. Engage in evidence-based practices, research, and safety protocols. Assist in developing clinical protocols to improve patient outcomes. Manage resources efficiently and adhere to organizational policies. Qualifications and Experience: Associates Degree or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelors preferred. Current RN license (single state or multi-state compact). Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and RN licensure required upon hire. Less than 1 year of experience acceptable with completed clinical hours; direct patient care experience preferred. IV Heparin administration experience is required. Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills. Ability to manage time effectively and perform well in fast-paced, emergency situations. Proficiency in basic computer skills and clinical technology utilization. Fluent in English.
