Histo Tech Location: Atlanta, GA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,834 per week Shift Information: Nights - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 12 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Histology Tech Profession: Laboratory Specialty: Histology Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 8 hours (22:00 - 06:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, ASCP-HT Must-Have: Two supervisory references preferred. Candidates must be available to submit core items and complete/schedule labs within 48 hours of signing the contract. Description: Perform frozen sections, immunohistochemistry, and special stains. Recuts will also be performed with limited embedding on this shift. No weekend shifts or on-call duties are required. Floating within the scope of practice is rare. The candidates will undergo a clinical review to determine fit. If the clinical screening is passed and guidelines are met, the candidate will proceed to the manager for the final decision. Maximum 7 days of requested time off is allowed. If one or two major holidays occur during the assignment period, travelers are expected to be available to work those holidays. Travelers are also expected to work two out of three major holidays if they occur during the assignment period. Full compliance is required to start on time. The number of non-billable orientation hours is determined by the contract length. Travelers must have been away for one full year from previous facilities to return as travelers.
