The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary
team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers. They ensure that
patients, families, and significant others receive individualized
high-quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical
environment administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders. The
practice is supported through the Shared Governance Model. The
framework for practice is guided by a Professional Practice Model
and evidence-based practice and research. RN competencies are
derived from these models and supported by core values. All RN
Clinical Nurses are expected to be licensed, knowledgeable, and
uphold the practice of nursing. They implement the Scope of
Practice and Code of Ethics Standards. As a member of the patient
services team, individuals uphold the voice of the patient and
support service excellence goals. Core Responsibilities and
Essential Functions: The RN performs the Nursing Process in
clinical care using evidence-based practice. They use analytical
and critical thinking to ensure care is individualized. They
coordinate care through effective partnerships, recognizing that

patient-centered care is provided, adapting service delivery to
reflect an understanding of cultural diversity. Patients and

Associate's Degree in nursing or graduation from an accredited
