Job Title: RN Clinical Periop Nurse Profession: OR RN Specialty: RN Registered / Licensed - Inpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Less than 1 year of experience with direct patient care preferred License: RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact Certifications: BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - American Red Cross Basic Life Support Must-Have: Associates Nursing or Diploma in Nursing is required; Bachelors in Nursing is preferred. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills along with customer service skills are required. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a decisive and respectful manner. Excellent time management skills. Strong critical thinking skills. Description: The RN Clinical Periop Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team. They ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized high-quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment supported through a shared governance model. The framework for practice is directed by a professional practice model, 5-Star Nursing, and evidence-based practice and research. RN competencies are derived from these models and supported by core competencies. The RN Clinical Nurse is licensed, knowledgeable, and upholds the practice of nursing as outlined by the professional nurse practice act.
