Job Description:

What_You ll_Be_Doing. In this role you will provide expertise and support to managers in National Operations and Business Strategy on all HR related matters; including but not limited to performance counseling, workers compensation, safety, employee relations, compliance, investigations, unemployment hearings, and leave of absences. * Support employee investigations regarding concerns raised both via the compliance alert process as well as those received through walk-in. Work back with our partners in employee relations, EEO and Legal to assess impact and make recommendations on appropriate corrective action. * Partner with local leadership in implementing any corrective action and follow the progressive discipline process. * Partner with our COE s in leveraging their expertise in either evaluating new jobs, completing the recruiting process, and new hire onboarding. * Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by manager by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information, making recommendations and implementing recommended solutions. * Maintain, track, and read-out on progress on HR operational plans, programs, escalations, and ad-hoc requests. * Deliver timely and accurate routine and ad-hoc reports and scorecards to track and evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of HR processes, including performance and talent cycles, training, legal, compliance, and recognition. * Partner with relevant HR and cross-functional teams to aggregate data, content, and reports to support the delivery of routine and ad-hoc updates and reports for key leaders and stakeholders. * Support all aspects of planning and coordination of key initiatives, meetings, events, and national projects, as needed. * Provide ad-hoc support to meet the needs of HR team and stakeholders in driving organizational effectiveness. * Maintain active engagement with the employees to successfully monitor the 'pulse' of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement through a true hands-on approach. You ll_Need_To_Have What we re looking for. * Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. * Three or more years of relevant work experience. * Experience in Human Resources, Disability Management, Benefits, Compensation, Attendance or Absence Management. * Microsoft Office and technical office experience. * Willingness to travel. Even_Better_If_You_Have * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Labor Relations or related business field or equivalent work experience. * HRIS systems and/or financial reporting experience (PeopleSoft). * Knowledge of HR Operations functions, metrics and both tactical and strategic objectives. * Understanding of project management processes and tools. * Experience with G-suite. * Teamwork oriented. * Knowledge of Verizon Wireless products and services, functions, policies, and procedures. * Ability to work independently without close supervision and effectively manage priorities and deadlines. * High professional standards for customer service, confidentiality, integrity, and quality of work. * Strong problem-solving, technical, and analytical skills. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. * Excel and PowerPoint, reporting and database skills.
