Colonial transports various grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, and fuels for the U.S. military through a pipeline system. Colonial transports approximately 45 percent of all fuel consumed on the East Coast, providing refined products to more than 50 million Americans.**About the Senior Database Administrator Position**As a Senior SQL Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of business critical Microsoft SQL Server databases and act as secondary support for Oracle systems. You will also be part of a growing Data & Analytics team that supports many corporate applications, business functions, and new exciting digital transformation initiatives across Colonial. You are someone who has the ability to be flexibility to changing requirements and/or priorities.**What You Get to Do:**+ Provide database support for key applications serving multiple business needs by creating/cloning of environments, patching, maintenance activities, and transitioning systems to more highly available environments, as required.+ Administer the database(s) to provide highly available systems with minimal to no downtime in order to support business requirements.+ Work with development team and application owners to design technical solutions for database related activities including setup, upgrades, migrations, refreshes, interface support, granting data access control and custom reporting as necessary across multiple databases.+ Develop and maintain standards, procedures and methodologies for effective operation, access control and backup recovery of all database systems.+ Design, implement and modify physical database structures; evaluate, test and implement database management systems, utilities and tools.**What You Bring to the Table:**+ Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field from an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education.+ Ideally, 5+ years of database administration; will also consider ideally, 8+ years of database administration in lieu of Bachelor's degree.+ Experience with multiple versions of Microsoft SQL Server, e.g., 2008, 2012, 2014, 2017, 2019.+ Performed migrations and upgrades of SQL Server environments.+ Ability to setup and configure SQL Server HA clusters.+ Scripting, stored procedures, triggers and performance tuning where needed.+ Engages in best practices as it relates to SQL Server Database Administration.+ Ability to potentially work off hours in a support role for critical issues, when required.+ Commitment to consistently adhere to policies and procedures and be a positive example for others by demonstrating the Company's core values of Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Safety, and Excellence in completing work assignments.+ Self-motivated, have phenomenal work ethic and looking for the right company to support your growth.**Got Extra to Bring?**+ Master's Degree in Information Technology, or related field from an accredited college or university.+ Database Certification such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle Certification.+ Familiarity with working with virtual servers and their architecture.+ Linux and Windows operating systems.+ Experience with other RDMS platforms, preferably Oracle.+ Experience with reporting and analytics platforms such as Microsoft Power BI, Alteryx+ Setup and configure new or existing online presence in any of the following hosting environments - i.e. Azure, AWS.**Advantages of Working at Colonial Pipeline Company:**Prosperity, Health, Wellness, and Happiness - Check out Colonial's Total Rewards (**Are you up to the challenge?
