Leveraging in-depth research, user experience design, and industry best practices, our solutions are ranked as the top solutions in the market and adopted by some of the largest and most innovative financial institutions in the US and international markets.Position PurposeThe Director of Software Development, Professional Services will lead the technical delivery team for a $13M+ Professional Services business within the Digital Banking business unit of Fiserv. The team is focused on selling and delivering custom technical solutions and consulting services to our clients. This role will lead a staff of professional services technicians to ensure timely, high quality delivery of online banking and mobile banking projects. - The PS Director is responsible for driving business development opportunities by coordinating and delivering proposals, interacting with clients to define their short-term and long-term needs, resolution of client escalations, and the operational excellence of the technical delivery team.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership--- Provide thought leadership to advance the delivery capabilities and operational efficiency of the Professional Services team--- Develop and implement plans to achieve the short-term goals and long-term strategic objectives that drive professional services forward.--- Engage with clients, internal partners, and delivery teams to overcome challenges that threaten successful project implementation--- Foster an innovative culture that embraces breakthrough concepts, strategies, and distinctive products to achieve and sustain competitive advantage and profitable growth.--- Embrace opportunities that are less than fully defined and bring tangibility to ambiguous situationsCommunication and Management--- Leverage past experience and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients and associates.--- Exceed expectations using clear logical communication and by acting as a strong senior leader in internal and client interactions.--- Ensure that goals/targets are meaningful, clearly communicated, monitored and achieved.--- Represent the Professional Services Development team in interactions and collaboration with other professional services disciplines and with internal partners, including Senior Leadership, Sales, Product Management, Account Management and Product Development.--- Demonstrate P&L management capabilities including revenue and expense forecasting and control--- Support pre-sales efforts in high value transactions--- Serve as an escalation point for all respective Professional Services projects.--- Demonstrate resilience under pressure and support team through change.Teamwork and Development--- Inspire others and create an environment in which people excel while operating in a fast-paced, dynamic and often stressful surrounding.--- Act as a role model for valuing diversity.--- Seek opportunities to reinforce consistent messages on company and group values, strategic objectives, goals and priorities.--- Mentor and guide the team with a focus to develop future managers and leaders--- Be an effective contributor to on-going recruitment process including promoting internal role advancement.--- Establish clear expectations for performance and on-going professional development, and work with team to ensure accountabilityDevelopment Portfolio Management--- Understand current business environments, technology options, processes and client requirements, and apply this to provide technical leadership.--- Ensure client development projects in the portfolio are completed on time and according to specifications and corporate quality standards.--- Build strong working relationships with executives and develop cross-divisional relationships.--- Drive billable utilization and efficiency.--- Audit/review requirements and provide input as necessary to guide the team towards tactical and strategic objectives.--- Provide appropriate inputs into the product development process to ensure that our products continue to support market needs.Technical Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications--- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar field required.--- 10+ years overall management experience in computer software industry, preferably in a systems integration/consulting organization.--- 5+ years management experience in software implementation delivery.--- 5+ years of experience managing professional services implementations.--- Significant experience in delivering via complete product development life cycles, including waterfall development and agile development.--- Significant financial services industry experience, familiarity with eFinance applications, understanding of ecommerce implementation considerations, and project management experience are all a plus.--- Ability to travel 40%This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.Thank you for considering employment with Fiserv. -
