What does a Software Development Engineering - Professional do?A Software Development Engineer Professional works with a team of development engineers to understand the on-going business problem/requirements, design and build a high volume/scalable software solution that meets those requirements to meet that solution, and to provide level 3 support of that application running a production environment. We have multiple real-time payment capabilities running in production that continue that require level 3 application support/monitoring, bug fixes, minor and major enhancements.Basic Qualifications for Consideration: High School Diploma required, Bachelors Degree preferred 3+ years of experience with Java and/or C# to create RESTful services Has experience delivering 12-factor applications or microservices in AWS, Azure, and/or Pivotal Cloud Foundry 1+ years of agile software development as a developer 1+ Years utilization of Kafka or equivalent event streaming technologiesPreferred Skills, Experience, and Education: Ability to understand requirements and convert them to software solutions Willing to learn from, work with, and share knowledge with others Strong troubleshooting skills and debugging skills Has experience with high volume transactional systems Has experience using SQL Server and NoSQL DBs (Cassandra, Mongo DB, etc) Familiar with or willing to learn CI/CD tools/processes.
