ADP is hiring a Principal Engineer / Director, Marketing Technology

Ready to make your mark?In this role, you will work alongside Digital Marketers, Product Development and Technology specialists in an Agile environment to build and enhance a connected tech stack that allows ADP to market one on one to prospects and customers with personalized messages across all channels. You will work with a team of passionate technologists to deliver complex projects that span across data, integration, marketing automation, analytics and personalization to help implement B2B demand generation, lead management, Omnichannel personalization and Analytics/ROI initiatives to help with ADP s Brand and Growth Marketing teams. No two days are the same as you work with your team, digital marketers, and product leaders to prioritize and design solutions for upcoming technology initiatives. You will start your day on a scrum call to prioritize and track work, followed by design sessions, coding web components or integrating systems via APIs or data integration technologies. As a Principal Developer, you will work closely with your team to lead and guide projects to success. You ll have a hands-on role designing, developing, debugging, and deploying software solutions where you can leverage your expertise with code complexities. You ll also serve as a mentor to the junior developers. In the Principal role, you will balance the assigning of user stories through prioritization and consideration of the technical interests of each developer on the team.Every day, you will not only get a chance to work across the full stack across Marketing Technologies, but also design out future by building a truly connected MarTech stack.To thrive in this role, you'll need to be passionate about Engineering and Marketing. You will need to be expert in application development using full stack technologies like Typescript or React and Node with extensive JavaScript, CSS and HTML capabilities. You will need to be proficient in design patterns, REST APIs and DevOps tools like Git/Bitbucket, Jenkin, Splunk and Dynatrace. Knowledge of Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager is a big plus.     • Solution Architect. You will help strategize design for the future of AdTech & MarchTech stack at ADP. You will work with Marketers and other team members to understand use cases and evaluate technologies that deliver the solution to the use case across Data, Marketing Automation, Front End (Personalization), Measurement and Integration technologies
    • Build Products. You will use your full stack technology skills to build the future or interconnected marketing technology. You will be building front end libraries, web components, REST/JavaScript APIs or Nodejs micro-services to help ADP connect data and application to deliver a personalized real time omnichannel marketing product
    • Deliver Solutions. Use your expertise to help deliver complex projects that cut across multiple teams and team members. You need ability to take ownership across this complex landscape to deliver the end to end solution for Marketing
    • Variety of work. There is no typical day. You could be checking in with a team across the globe one minute on a specific project, building a new personalization web component the next, meeting with leadership later in the day to review initiatives for the coming quarter or handling a few ad hoc requests from your peers in other departments
    • Influence and inspire confidence. You are comfortable presenting to Principal leaders, product owners, and peers with a compelling voice that you demonstrate through executive presence, leading change, and creating clear executive-level communications on milestone achievements.
    • Learning. You re always learning new technologies and operating with a "figure it out" mentality
    • Challenges. You re comfortable working on products with tech that has never been used before. Inevitable challenges will arise, and we'll rely on you to look for a solutionA college degree is great but not required. What's more important is having the skills and experience to do the job. TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
      • Excellent delivery management skills and ability to work across different technologies
      • Interpersonal skills and ability to work with different team members, peers and departments to solve a business problem
      • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS along with a framework like Typescript or React
      • Experience with backend application development technologies like Java or Node
      • Experience with SQL and database technologies like Postgres or MySQL
      • Experience working with NoSQL databases like Mongo or AWS DynamoDB is preferred
      • Experience building applications on cloud environments like AWS
      • AWS certified solution architect is preferred
      • Excellent communication skills and ability to present technology solutions to business and marketers
      • Experience with Google Analytics or a similar web analytics tool is preferred
      • Experience with marketing optimization platforms such as Optimizely, Google Optimize, Interaction Studio, etc., is preferred
      • Experience with Cloud environment and data integration tools would be preferred
      • Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Oracle Eloqua knowledge would be preferred YOU'LL LOVE WORKING HERE BECAUSE YOU CAN:
