Overview of Position

Change Healthcare is seeking an experienced JD or MBA candidate to serve as a Strategic Agreements and Negotiations Director within the Strategic Engagements Team (SET). This role will have responsibility and accountability for pre-sales contracting activities and negotiations on large, complex, multi-service engagements across the enterprise.

The Strategic Agreements and Negotiations Director will provide on-site analysis & advice to CHC’s business units and project teams on contracting issues and risk mitigations.

The leader is responsible for, but not limited to:

Negotiations

Initiating, tracking and monitoring contract changes, deliverables, and contract issues and risks

Third party contracting activities

Assessing the market competitiveness of the client’s contractual requirements including SLA related requirements for our larger clients.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

Leads payer strategic agreements development and all applicable consolidated CHC contracts related discussions with payers.

Coordinates negotiations with internal business members and make recommendations regarding contract negotiations and contractual terms, including planning and development of negotiation strategy.

Manages and tracks the progress of CHC Strategic Agreements currently being negotiated to ensure CHC objectives are met in a timely manner.

Analyzes applicable contracts, associated documents and proposed fees, and negotiates business and financial terms of contracts.

What are the requirements needed for this position?

Bachelor’s Degree in finance, business or equivalent degree required.

JD/ Juris Doctor Degree from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials admission to practice in good standing as a member of a jurisdiction is required or MBA.

MBA Candidates must have IT procurement and payor experience.

10+ years of experience in contract drafting, negotiating or reviewing contracts with a focus on Software license agreements, privacy, risk and regulatory issues.

Experience identifying and mitigating risks in a complex business environment.

Experience working directly with attorneys and/or other third parties in both advisory and negotiation capacities.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, with clear and concise drafting skills.

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

Demonstrated success in providing strategic business guidance for emerging businesses.

Experience as a trusted business partner to business leaders working in a dynamic high fast growth business and emerging solutions

Sales and Corporate Transactions. Lead transactions including structuring, drafting, due diligence and negotiation of a broad range of complex commercial transactions for the purchase and sale of technology, professional services, consulting and products.

Expertise in drafting complex transactional agreements.

Comprehensive understanding of regulatory matters, risk management, and contract management.

Employees in roles that require travel will need to be able to qualify for a company credit card or be able to use their own personal credit card for travel expenses and submit for reimbursement.
