Title: Manager, People Operations--International Overview of Position Responsible for managing the People Operations function that supports non-US employees, with a focus on Canada, but also inclusive of other international locations. The function is responsible for coordinating benefits administration as well as other human resources type generalist and administrative tasks. The incumbent is responsible for leading the effort to assess the current framework for operational service delivery for all non-US-based employee populations and build the International operations function. The incumbent is responsible for managing the Canada People Operations Administrator and works with other People Solutions Business Partners and larger People Solutions team to provide consultative client support, monitor internal systems and data, and support employees in a broad range of people policies and practices related areas. What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job? * Managerial : Manages Canadian People Operations Admin to ensure consistent program interpretation and application of provisions, including training on roles and responsibilities, related to Canadian Benefits and general HR administrative tasks inclusive of Benefits Enrollment (new hires, life events, and terms), Plan administration (invoices, communications, etc.), Leave administration, RRSP enrollment and administration, Employee benefits questions/escalations/appeals, Severance administration, My Healthy Changes program administration, promotion and communications, Life and disability claims support, Record of Employment (Employment Insurance), Employee Records Management, Verification of Employment and Income, Cross-border relocations, etc.; Vendor management of Health & Welfare (Wawanesa), Retirement (TD Canada Trust), and Wellness (Vitality) vendors to ensure accurate set up of plans for employees, audits vendors and billing invoices, plans and schedules onsite vendor educational seminars, and ensures employee issues are resolved appropriately. Incumbent may on occasion need to escalate operational issues, that are unresolved, to the Benefits COE for final resolution. * Subject Matter Expert : Collaborates with COE's and provides country-specific knowledge/expertise in setting the direction for non-US, primarily Canada, employee benefits and People policies as well as the drafting and review of country-specific policies and best practices; Leverage knowledge and expertise regarding Service Canada (Employment Insurance) Requirements to address inquiries from employees and internal partners. Collaborate with payroll to ensure year-end reporting is accurate; Ensure Canadian employee personnel files are securely stored, managed, and maintained according to Canadian regulations and company record retention policies * Customer Service : Handles employee escalations and internal inquiries & requests related to benefits, record of employment, severance payments, verification of employment/income, etc.; Maintain Canadian specific content on the People Solutions portal and partner with content owners to migrate content from legacy SharePoint sites to the People Solutions portal; In collaboration with the Total Rewards COE, schedules and coordinates logistics for Wellness site activities such as health fairs, screenings, flu shots, etc.; Provide support to mobility team in connection with the relocation program, immigration/visas, expat/inpat assignments and tax compliance, such as pulling employment agreements, facilitating signature of updated employment agreements, updating benefits and retirement vendors of any changes in coverage for the employee, providing updates of work permit holders, etc.; Provide Canadian specific support to Employee Relations team to assist with Accommodation requests and Involuntary Terminations (e.g. gathering physician notes, pulling employment agreements, and drafting employee letters related to risk of termination (e.g. performance issues, LTD extensions beyond 2-3 years)); Provide support of ISO compliance and audits (pulling required employee files, providing employee data, storing training records, etc.). * Quality Delivery : Perfo SDL2017
