Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Data Security Operations Engineer with a focus on operating Data Discovery and Scanning tools for the Enterprise Data Privacy and Protection team. The role is suited to an experienced Engineer with security, analytics, software development and product deployment experience. The role will focus on extending the enterprise Data Discovery program to the GCP cloud and across 40 data centers on-premise for compliance and will involve solution architecture, engineering, and development with a focus on operating, automating and integrating the tools in the program with existing systems and processes.

What you'll do:

  • Architect (assist in architecture), engineer, deploy and operate data scanning tools in a variety of distinct environments

  • Strategic administration and deployment of privacy-focused GRC tools, including the BigID platform and DLP related toolsets.

  • 3+ years of experience with cloud computing and/or experience with traditional enterprise datacenter technologies preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  • Strong understanding of the current state of infrastructure automation, continuous integration/deployment, security, networking and cloud native models

  • Good understanding of Data protection, data minimization, data security, data use and encryption techniques.

  • Adapting existing mechanisms to changes in business strategy and changes in applicable privacy laws in collaboration with the governance and legal members of the EFX Data Privacy and Protection Team.

  • Working with business intelligence tool sets to produce detailed analytics on scanned data.

  • Complete environment configuration, automation, build, and documentation tasks with a focus on reliability and ongoing supportability

  • Develop tools and scripts to enable automation in configuration management, Scanned data processing, and platform integration via API scripting

  • Raise and Resolve security related and assigned ServiceNow tickets

  • Coordinate with infrastructure and application development project teams to deliver solutions collaboratively, ensuring that corporate security policy, standards and industry best practices are met.

  • Driving continued evolution and improvement of privacy-related controls, metrics and reporting

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS degree in a related field

  • 6+ years of prior experience in this role.

  • 2+ years of experience in government systems and authorities operate (Fisma, FedRAMP) architecture/designs

  • Proficient in Public cloud architecture and design.

  • Strong understanding of Business intelligence and analytics oriented.

  • Understanding and ability to implement security and compliance best practices.

  • Understanding of security tools (IAM, vulnerability remediation, sniffers, log correlation tools)

  • Experience working on privacy solutions in an engineering capacity is a plus (e.g. tracker blocker, password manager, or similar technology).

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Must be a authorized to work in the US

  • Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy in all interactions

  • Industry certifications (GCP, AWS, Security +, CCNA, CIPT, CIPM , CISM etc.)

  • Working knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.)

  • Understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems

  • Work well under pressure (i.e. a critical system is down)

  • Strong work ethic
