Job Description:
Software Development Manager About the Role: The Software Development Manager is responsible
for leading a team of software developers to meet overall business
objectives. This requires a highly motivated self-starter capable
of driving strategic initiatives and expanding the capabilities of
the team. You will coordinate and provide oversight to multiple
software development efforts during all phases of the agile
development life cycle. You will oversee team deliverables for all
releases and sprints for estimating, planning, development,
testing, builds, and deployments. The Software Development Manager is responsible for the team
performance across differing programs which includes scope changes,
design agreement, and overcoming impediments that prevent the
development from meeting their project commitments. You will
provide technical leadership, accountability for deliverables, and
overall management and professional growth of the development team.
You will work directly with our Product Management, UX, and
Professional Services teams to manage roadmaps, backlogs and
releases. You will define process and metrics to facilitate in the
delivery of quality software to our clients. Required Qualifications: Education: • Bachelor's degree in
Computer Science or relevant work experience Job Related Experience: • At least 5 years of experience in a
senior technical management or lead development • At least 5 years
of experience with Java and Object-Oriented Programming •
Experience in all phases of software development using Agile/Scrum
methodologies • Ability to communicate technical direction to both
technical and non-technical stakeholders • Experience in training,
coaching and mentoring team members • Experience with prepare
project estimates, budgets, and schedules • Ensure quality by
evaluating designs, test results, development quality standards and
overall project deliverables to requirements • Manages the career
development, performance management, pay determination, and
communication processes for the team Qualifications: • Experience designing and development processes
to guide and facilitate software delivery functions • Proven
ability to lead a team of engineers to the successful delivery of a
software product • Development experience with Java / Groovy or
other JVM languages • Development experience with SOAP, REST API,
Microservices and SAML integrations to implement and support
external application interfaces • Assigns team members to various
projects and directs activities • Experience with data mapping,
ETL, file transformation, and/or SQL data manipulation necessary to
support data integrations between multiple products • Experience
with Git version control and source code management • Experience
building, scaling, and running production operations Nice to have:
• Experience with Linux / Unix environments • Experience in
banking, financial services, and/or software industries •
Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines • Container and cloud
