What does a great Technical Business Analyst do?
We are looking for an experienced, talented, problem solving Sr.
Business Analyst with 10+ year experience to work in an agile
environment and bridge the gap between product owners and
This Sr. Business Analyst will be responsible for working with
product and technical teams to understand and document use
cases/user stories for a variety of large projects.
This person must be able to articulate business processes,
information flows and enablement of technology, as well as
establish strong partnerships with both internal and external
partners to ensure seamless execution. In addition, the candidate
must work with cross functional, co-located/remote, and offshore
teams to drive delivery of product roadmap.
Job Responsibilities: 1. Work with the business stakeholder and
cross functional teams to elicit and document robust requirements
in order to implement digital solutions that are in alignment with
overall goals and drive profitability 2. Facilitate and manage
feature discovery and user story review sessions with product and
technology teams. 3. Write functional requirements and stories to
support development and inform technical requirements. 4.
Experience with agile methodology, Scrum framework, working with
product owners and technology to create, refine, groom user stories
and prioritize backlog. 5. Working with product and other BAs to
create a healthy backlog for scrum teams 6. Understand the
complexities of Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid work environments, and
can flex into any approach to properly align deliverables and
milestones with the business. 7. Open, create, and manage JIRA
tickets, which includes being a liaison for external partners
throughout the scoping and grooming process. 8. Keeps abreast of
innovations and changes to relevant business and functional
capabilities in order to provide effective requirements elicitation
and documentation 9. Define process improvements to achieve a solid
Business Analysis framework using standards and best practices, and
be able to demonstrate them through project execution 10.
Communicate key findings to leadership and make recommendations
around risk and product strategies 11. Mentor other team
1. Minimum of 10+ years’ experience. 2. Excellent oral and
written communication skill, proactive and a self-starter 3. A team
player who works well with technical and non-technical resources 4.
Experience in Insurance or Gaming & Lottery or financial services
is a plus 5. Ability to see tasks through to completion without
significant guidance Experience in Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence) and
virtual collaboration tools
