This sales position requires the ability to prospect for new opportunities into named accounts. It requires the ability to then understand a client's business to identify process improvement methodologies and technology applications. The candidate will need to be able to tour a site, gather data and observe operational functions in order to communicate new business potential to the internal support teams. In addition, he or she must anticipate the client's needs and proactively address problems, adapting to different client environments and customizing solutions to meet customer's business objectives and exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an annual sales plan, and accurate business forecast, updated and reported on a weekly basis
  • Prospecting and cold / warm calling plan to identify and contact new prospects and find / create new opportunities
  • Present the sales plan to the leadership team and manage daily efforts toward that plan
  • Document business development activities through the company supplied CRM
  • Become a resource for existing or potential customers, ensuring that needs are identified early on in the decision-making process
  • Inform customers of technology trends and assist in identifying solutions that solve their business problems
  • Meet or exceed annual bookings target and margin goals
  • Create relationships with customers and provide the highest levels of customer service and support


Bachelor's degree

A minimum of 3 years of experience in a successful technical sales role


Excellent outside sales solution selling, interpersonal, and presentation skills

Motivation and desire to grow a career with a global technology leader

Experience developing solutions for customers using AutoCAD or similar tools

Courage and work ethic

Excellent internal communication skills

Ability to understand buying influence at varying levels across the organization

Ability to handle multiple priorities and navigate in a highly matrixed environment

Material handling systems experience and/or manufacturing plant experience
