What does a great Quality Assurance Engineer, Professional do?

As a professional QA engineer you will develop cutting edge products in our high-volume SaaS product suite of online and mobile banking solutions for financial institutions. You will consistently provide high quality customer service for internal and external customers. You will test production-quality code and entire subsystems and feature sets. You will accurately estimate and track personal work, communicate status to managers and project managers, and oversee work with project managers and other team members. You will develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, partners, and team members. You will mentor peers and more junior members of the development team to improve quality and delivery of solutions. You will be accountable for the quantity and quality of your work and the growth of your technical skills to match future requirements of the position. You will be responsible for learning and implementing new technologies to assure the continued relevance and health of our products.

You will have worked on multiple shipped products and have experience in each of the basic software development lifecycle steps needed to ship a product. Basic Qualifications for Consideration

  • 3+ years of experience in software testing.
  • 2+ years of experience in delivery of .NET Server side transaction systems.
  • 1+ years of experience developing automated tests
  • High school diploma required/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field

Must Have Skills

  • Knowledge on Azure fundamentals
  • Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server TFS), Azure DevOps, and Git
  • Good knowledge of SDLC and QA practices and Hands-on exposure
  • Hands-on in functional, regression, Automation Testing
  • Hands-on in API/Web services testing
  • Effectively and efficiently perform testing within expected effort estimates
  • Hand on - Tool set knowledge (CA LISA, Postman, SOAP UI, SOAP UI Pro) – any one is mandatory
  • Microsoft SQL Server 16 or later; fluent in basic SQL.
  • Exposure to Banking Domain
  • Exposure to QA tools (Bug Tracking, Test Management, Script Management, etc)
  • Experience on creating test cases, test scripts and execute them
  • Exposure to Metrics (Defect, Test Execution), status reports and exit reports)
  • Use a methodical approach to identify and raise defects. Quickly and accurately identify anomalies

Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education

  • Experience developing for Microsoft Azure highly preferred
  • Ability to articulate technical solutions to stakeholders.
  • Comfortable being a team player who enjoys challenging themselves and others to improve every day.
  • Experience with solutions for financial institutions and or retail banking.
  • Comfortable with rapidly changing and or loosely defined requirements that are refined over time.
  • Strong communications skills and ability to articulate solutions to a team that may challenge those solutions.
  • Exposure to container technologies such as PCF, Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, RabbitMQ, Azure, AKS, etc.
  • Experience with CSS, JavaScript, Angular, Bootstrap.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell and Splunk queries.
  • Product Installation knowledge
  • Advanced standards certification eg. ISTQB.
