The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Healthcare Consultant, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Lead on-site strategy and training sessions that supports clients to improve cost and quality outcomes.

  • Responsibility for leading, managing and delivering projects for assigned clients.

  • Educate and train clients and internal users in the use of 3M HIS classification products.

  • Develop policies and business requirements for the client and assist in converting to technical specifications.

  • Oversee data analytic activities, review reports and develop analyses for presentation to team members and clients.

  • Provide subject matter expertise to Product Management for new versions of tools and products.

  • Support initiatives to increase market penetration, sales, and revenue to meet 3M HIS financial goals.

  • Provide educational opportunities and training to internal teams.

  • Participating in relevant corporate programs/initiatives

  • Ensuring professional, quality and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties

  • Complying with corporate policies and procedures while acting in a manner consistent with 3M's values and ethical standards

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of eleven (11) years experience in the healthcare field in lieu of the Bachelor's degree education requirement

  • Seven (7) combined years of healthcare consulting, healthcare administration, and/or data analysis experience

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master's degree in healthcare field or business administration.

  • Experience with one or more of the classification tools such as 3M CRG, 3M PFP, 3M PPR, 3M PPC, 3M APR DRG, and 3M EAPG

  • Experience with commercial/government payer, healthcare consulting, medical management, value-based purchasing, and/or accountable care organizations.

Travel: May include up to 25% of domestic travel

Relocation Assistance: Not authorized

Location: Albany, NY, Meriden, CT, Silver Spring, MD, Remote

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
