Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Support team members and leaders within the region by serving as a champion of the culture and advising leaders to drive employee engagement
  • Guide leaders in identifying and developing emerging potential talent through talent review discussions and individual development planning
  • Provide proactive guidance and coaching to leaders on managing various team member challenges and performance
  • Provide sound and timely recommendations/solutions to employee relations issues
  • Be knowledgeable of compensation systems and variable pay practices; lead calibration sessions as part of annual merit process to ensure all professionals are paid fairly
  • Interpret and administer company policies and governmental regulations that apply to the regional DG offices; assure broad understanding and compliance; contribute to the development of policies
  • Facilitate off-boarding process, conduct exit interviews, analyze key drivers of retention
  • Support Annual Enrollment benefits sessions and respond to employee inquiries; ensure teams are aware of all the benefit resources available to them
  • Oversee Disability, FMLA, etc. leaves with the CPD Specialist, team member, and third-party vendor
  • Learn and develop proficiency in the use of Workday and as a “source of truth” on employee data
  • Participate in process improvement activities and other cross-functional teams
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant Human Resources best practices

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field and/or equivalent experience

Experience & Skills

  • 5+ plus years of experience in Human Resources functions
  • Background in employment law and other government regulations
  • Tenacious, diplomatic, highly flexible, collaborative, well-organized, detail oriented
  • Ability to develop strong trust-based relationships with business partners and team members
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong group facilitation skills and exceptional active listening skills
  • Analytical; able to evaluate people-related data points in order to drive recommendations and decision-making
  • Self-starter who can multi-task, stay organized in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and strong adherence to the practice of business ethics
  • Highly collaborative and a champion of the Design Group culture
  • Strategic thinking and future-focused
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Travel

Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% to visit region offices or attend meetings
