What does a great Product Management Advisor do?
You will be responsible for conception through end of life
ownership for a specific product line or product features,
including product management, product development and business
Using your payments expertise you’ll expand Fiserv digital
business with compelling new products, and tools that enable a wide
range of partners to build value-added solutions on the Fiserv
To be successful in this role, you must have an ability to think
strategically while also maintaining close attention to details.
You understand the current landscape of payment industry players
including issuers, acquirers, processors, gateway providers, ISOs,
and payment networks. You’re able to synthesize market trends,
customer demands, and company strategy into a roadmap for your
product area. In addition, you consistently apply good judgement
and data to weigh trade-offs as you evolve your roadmap. You are
familiar with payment rules and practices in multiple major
countries around the world. You also have deep experience with web
and mobile SDK APIs, as well as working with developers. You are
able to interpret complex industry standards, and can write
detailed user stories and requirements. You have well-honed
communications skills, and are comfortable presenting to
executives, customers and developers.
As a Product Management Advisor, you can look forward
•Imagine, define and document product vison, requirement and
effectively communicate to management, business and technical
•Manage, track and report product line or product feature
performance throughout its lifecycle including product strategy,
product planning and issue prioritization.
•Coordinate product priority decisions in concert with
•Coordinate internal and external product communication and
information across product line and partner organizations.
•Manage product development process inclusive of product
commercialization tasks required to bring product to market.
•Manage product development and improvements including road map
and statement of direction across product line.
•Establish and maintain awareness and understanding of customer
and market needs.
•Develop business cases to support new product
•Manage issues throughout the product development process
including problem identification, root cause analysis, and partner
•Act as a primary negotiator between internal departments and
clients to resolve issues.
•Serve as product expert and liaison to Sales.
•Consumer interface in the education and enrollment of consumers
into the new product programs.
•Represent Fiserv and the product at industry and community
•Decisions have direct impact on the end result of the business
•Frequent contact with internal and external customers.
Basic qualifications for consideration:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Technical Operations, Project
Management or Product Management.
- Knowledge and experience in building Omnichannel product, card
present POS product, solutions for enterprise merchants.
- Prior experience in negotiations, vendor and/or project
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
- Payments industry knowledge (for example, ISO/Nexo standards,
EMV, Encryption/Tokenization concepts)
- High School graduate/GED
Preferred qualifications for consideration:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 5+ years’ payments related experience preferred.
