As part of our Corporate Communications team, we are seeking a Director of Communications to support our growing and dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of a fast-paced, energetic, global team in the financial tech industry.
The Director, Corporate Communications drives the development and successful execution of communication strategies supporting Technology and Operations. This position creates communication plans, key messages and content for a variety of technology-focused strategic communications and drives their successful execution and implementation. Ability to provide communications counsel, exceptional writing ability and attention to detail/quality focus are required. This position reports to the VP, Corporate Communications.

Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Global Brand and Technology & Operations leadership and colleagues on the following:
• Define and execute enterprise-wide communication strategies for the roll-out and ongoing adoption of technology and processes in support of our associates’ digital workplace and client-impacting technology initiatives.
• Ensure communication deliverables are:
o Orange: align with corporate themes and cultural tone so associates can sense the connection to Fiserv
o Targeted: identify relevant personas in the audience and create scenario-based messaging and instructions so associates and clients can easily understand how a technology or process can support and improve their daily digital tasks
o User-centered: incorporate principles of information and instructional design and usability so the end-user can “read to learn to do” – ensuring the right information is available at the right time to the right audience
o High-quality: produce accurate, understandable, error-free, brand-compliant deliverables so the audience can learn to trust the content and channel
o Timely: build in appropriate lead-time for necessary preparation and education so the audience can progress on the change management journey towards successful adoption
o Scalable: develop deliverables that can be reused with limited revisions and are appropriate for both small and large populations of associates and clients
o Channel-diverse: use a wide variety of engaging communication channels (audiovisual, digital, written, in-person) so the audience can choose the channel that is most natural to them
o Measurable: implement available analytics to track the use and impact of different channels so you can adjust based on the consumption habits of the audience
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders across the company to drive alignment of communication strategies and deliverables that instruct, motivate usage and drive adoption
• Successfully operationalize the strategy, including management of creative development and production, development of project schedules/budgets, management of external vendors, and management of communications calendar in alignment with other corporate and technology communications
• Develop and support executive communications platforms for select technology leaders
• Drive content programming for strategic associate updates, leveraging various communication channels
• Support additional projects for Global Brand or Technology and Operations as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Communications, Journalism or English, with an emphasis in writing

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate communications and/or technology communications

• Critical thinker/analytical skills/business acumen

• Excellent writing skills and attention to detail

• Ability to build rapport with leaders and influence others to ensure successful execution of communication strategy

• Ability to think strategically and creatively to develop detailed-oriented approaches to driving measurable performance outcomes

• Synthesizes and presents complex information/technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner to engage internal audiences

• Translates corporate priorities into messaging that drives strategic execution

• Proficient in AP style

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality communications deliverables under deadline pressure

• Must be a resourceful problem-solver, thorough, curious, committed and engaged

Experience developing and gaining buy-in for strategic, comprehensive communications plans that employ various tactics and communications channels and are tailored to specific audiences

Experience developing a variety of content types (e.g., scripts, infographics, video, etc.)?

Must have experience communicating with a global workforce

Experience in managing confidential/sensitive information

Strong organizational and project management skills, with a focus on planning, setting priorities, and managing process through completion including meeting commitments and measuring effectiveness of programs

Ability to manage project budgets and timelines

Preferred Qualifications

Degree, certificate or job experience in technical communication, instructional design, user experience or a related field

Familiarity with various change management philosophies and techniques

Curiosity for and comfort with technology – both tools required to create the communication deliverables and the technology included as part of the Fiserv digital workplace
