If you are looking for a stable, fast-paced, growing company in the healthcare industry that is committed to innovation, excellence and integrity, then this may be a great next step in the advancement of your career.We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Coding Specialist II.The Coding Specialist II is responsible for the review and application of CPT-4 (procedure) and ICD-9 and ICD-10 (diagnosis) codes, modifiers, and quality initiatives within the departmental policies. Responsibilities

  • Supports the workflow of the coding department by ensuring that the expected level of production is maintained.
  • Assists in the oversight of maintaining the expected schedule for completion of work.
  • Answers questions as needed by coding staff to ensure adherence to departmental policy and accurate application of codes and other information.
  • Assists in the correction of any coding errors as directed by the Coding Manager / Supervisor.
  • Participates in the ongoing review process, new hire review of work; training as needed and directed by the Coding Manager.
  • Makes adjustments in the billing system as directed by the Coding Manager.
  • Assists with the workflow, answer coding questions from staff, and assists in special projects as needed.
  • Performs special projects as deemed necessary by Coding Manager and/or Supervisor.
  • Notifies Manager of any recurring problems.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Reports any real or suspected violation of the corporate compliance program, company policies and procedures, harassment or other prohibited activities in accordance with the reporting policies of the company

    • Education/Experience:
      • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 or more years of related experienceComputer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
        • Microsoft Office Suite
        • Healthcare Billing System (AS400 preferred)Certificates and Licenses:
