More information is available at the Landis+Gyr website The System Security Architect has primary responsibility for product portfolio security architecture and high-level design. This covers enterprise software, IT security hardware, product/device software, firmware, hardware and network security for the aspects and use-cases metering communications and smart grid solutions for both internal and external customers.. The System Security Architect has an intricate knowledge of cybersecurity ethics, laws, and guidelines. They must always be on the cutting edge of security practices and assessment theories within the smart grid and IoT industry and the wider cybersecurity community.. He/she blends knowledge of security hardware and software, organizational needs, and cybersecurity risks with organizational policies and industry standards.. Analytical and problem-solving skills allow the System Security Architect to identify and mitigate computer and network security vulnerabilities. They anticipate potential threats and design systems to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with security standards. They listen and adapt to organizations' needs and goals. The System Security Architect will need to review, assess, identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in specialized embedded IoT network devices utilizing IEEE 802.15.4 TSCH. IEEE 802.15.4 CSMA (WiSUN,) and proprietary spread spectrum channel hopping RF mesh networks and the applications securing the device specific data (metrology, DA applications, and DER systems,) NB-IoT/LTE 3GPP device stacks and system implementations and PLC systems.. The System Security Architect will work internally with Product Management, System Architects and Engineers, SME Architects and IT/OT security experts. They will also work directly with external vendors and customers, including their leads IT analysts, security administrators and security engineers. With this spectrum of engagement, they will ensure security requirements are fully defined and well understood during the definition stages of both product development and customer implementation projects.. The System Security Architect will be a key contributor to Software Development Lifecycle to ensure new products, platforms, and technologies meet or exceed security engineering requirements, use-cases, mitigation of attack vectors.. When security incidents arise, System Security Architects assess causes, damages and data recovery. They implement appropriate changes, updates and upgrades in response to vulnerabilities and incursions.. Key Responsibilities. Ownership and continual maintenance of system/product level security architecture and strategy.. Engage with internal and external customers, partners, and vendors to develop detailed security requirements that meet customer and industry standards and align with our security architecture.. Maintain a cutting-edge knowledge of cybersecurity laws, guidelines, standards, practices, assessment methodologies and breaches. This includes attaining designated certification requirements and attending product-specific training, reviewing technical literature and obtaining hands-on experience.. Support major deployments of our system from a security perspective during specification, design, implementation and ongoing operation.. Articulate a vision on technologies and solutions towards the client; position Landis+Gyr as thought leader on key security developments.. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.. Represents Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both internal and external customers.. Education & Experience. Required Minimum Level of Education: Bachelor's Degree. Required Minimum Years of Experience: More Than 15. Required Minimum Level of Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.. Required Minimum Years of Experience: 20 combined years of experience in the domain of device and enterprise on-prem & cloud security architecture encompassing design, manufacturability, deployment, provisioning and solution design for end-to-end security and trust with additional details as follows in overlapping experience:. Minimum 5 years of experience in multiple of the following areas of development:. Hands-on Solution Architect/Software Architect/Technical Lead role. Object Oriented or programming languages (Java, C++, Python etc.). Linux operating systems from the perspective of an administrative role and application developer role.. Cloud technologies (GCP [preferred], AWS, or Azure) with Working knowledge of Cloud provider security architecture design patterns.. Software design and development type role for a SaaS systems. Working with scalable real-time systems in a production environment. Development tools and integrated build systems (Eclipse, Jenkins, Maven, etc).. Required certification for CISSP-ISSAP is required. CISM, CASP+ or comparable is desired.. Minimum 5 years of experience in multiple of the following areas of security:. Distributed key management, Cryptographic algorithms, and security standards. Fraud prevention/cybersecurity practices and/or other data-driven software applications and in secure product/project engineering.. IT and Cybersecurity frameworks, such as NIST or CIS. Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) and automated testing experience (TDD/BDD).. Encryption fundamentals: PKI, Digital Signatures and Key Management. OWASP Web/API vulnerabilities and compensating controls (CSRF, XSS, SQLI, etc.).. HW/SW threat analysis, security analysis, risk analysis. Ability to create security and networking related reference architectures and articulate them to a customer audience. Security compliance process implementation and/or governance (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001). Application Security Testing Tools and Techniques. Various Single Sign-on (SSO) Solutions.
