Profisee is looking for an experienced Software Development Team
Lead with 6-10 years of relevant experience in developing complex
enterprise systems and leading developers to join our R&D team
to help accelerate the value R&D delivers to customers,
partners, and internal stakeholders by leading a team of Developers
and QA to deliver innovative new features that will strengthen
Profisee's position as a leader in the MDM space.
Profisee is a growing Microsoft gold-certified partner focused on
data management solutions in general and, more specifically, in the
area of Master Data Management. We work with leading-edge
technology and you will have the opportunity to develop your skills
as a full-stack engineer working on both web front-end, business
tier, and data tier in both an on-premise as well as cloud
The Software Development Team Lead report to our Director of
Engineering, and work out of Profisee's headquarters in Alpharetta,
GA. You will have 3-4 Software Developers as direct reports and
work alongside other Team Leads to coordinate work.
Your Performance Objectives - What You Will Accomplish
In first 3 months: Ramp up on a deep and broad understanding of the
Profisee Platform product line including its key components,
features, and underlying architectural principals. Gain particular
insight into the areas that your team is working on and for which
is responsible. Establish rapport with the developers on the team
and learn their career aspirations and drivers through periodic
meetings with the individuals.
In first 6 months: Take ownership of the organization of the team's
backlog through planning and the stack ranking of features and
stories through Agile processes. Help provide technological
leadership to the team and across the department.
Competencies - What We Are Looking For
Technical Leadership: As a Software Development Team Lead, you
should be able to write and lead others to write high quality
software across the technology stack - web and desktop UI,
services, and database tier - following best practices such as
clean architecture principles. Over time you should contribute to
development process improvements through collaboration across the
teams. To do so, you should be able to leverage knowledge gained
from formalized education as well as past experiences delivering
software solutions. As a new team lead, you will need to gain deep
and broad knowledge quickly by rapidly understanding the current
architecture and code base of the Profisee Platform, developed
using C#, .NET, and SQL Server, so that you can guide other
developers writing user stories within the first 90 days.
Be Innovative: Help Profisee push the envelope around technology
innovation in the area of Master Data Management software. Profisee
is evolving our software architecture towards a cloud-native
architecture deployed using containers and micro-services. Team
leads must be eager to learn and research new technologies and
challenges we encounter along that journey. Team leads must be
willing to continually learn, evaluate and propose new technologies
and approaches which can be used to deliver innovative features in
Be Agile: Profisee employs an Agile methodology for software
development. Everyone in R&D should be comfortable working
within an Agile software development environment. As a Software
Development Team Lead, you should be the leader in the aspects of
the Agile lifecycle, including sprint planning, story writing,
story pointing, daily standups, and reviews and retrospectives.
