Job Description:

This is a key role in developing new products and processes for successful delivery of product to our customer, there by increasing revenue for the company. You are responsible for * Drive manufacturing readiness reviews across Engineering and Operations functions - Establish and Manage NPI release checklist * Management and communication of NPI schedules with the CM, Engineering, Suppliers, and Operations team * Assure Lifecycle Gate deliverable are complete and timely * Tracks yields and drives corrective actions to achieve quality goals * Assist production with testing, troubleshooting, and root cause/corrective action of product fallout * Responsible for identifying and maintaining specialized tooling/equipment/test fixtures for production products * Assist with lean initiatives throughout the factory * Flowline optimization * Cycle time validation and work cell load balancing * Manufacturing process and tooling validation. * Identify and then help implement areas where new technology or process improvements would make the most impact. * Setup and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) * Lead the integration/implementation of Mercury MES system with current manufacturing processes. * Support Quality in contributing to Corrective Action Requests or Failure Analyses. * Support Proposal activity by contributing labor hours estimates to produce the proposed product. * Responsible for ensuring: all tools are calibrated and stay on scheduled calibration rotations, all equipment requiring maintenance stay on scheduled maintenance plans, and all Production/NPI/Test personnel have up to date process or training certifications. * Liaison to Engineering when additional in-house engineering resources are required. You are a part of the Operations Group which will work closely with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Test to ensure proper transition of new product to the Production Manufacturing Department. Will be responsible for creating, maintaining and updating all work instructions Final Assembly To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience * BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering * Able to work closely with various Departments * Must be adaptable and flexible to work in a fast paced environment Purpose: This position manages a team which would typically consist of experienced personnel in the Operations sub-family.
