Ceramic Technics has been in the wholesale tile importation and
distribution business for over 30 years! Our company is dedicated
to resourcing distinctive collections of tile and stone for the
architectural and design community throughout North
America.Summary:This position serves as the primary point of
contact for our customers who are primarily contractors in the
commercial construction industry. The role of Customer Service
Representative manages projects in full or in part from quote of
goods through delivery. Our goal is to develop solid professional
relationships with customers' through exceptional service.
Requirements:
- Communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with
customers and sales team via telephone and e-mail.
- Enter and update customer contact information in database
- Collaborate with sales team during quoting and order
fulfillment on projects as needed.
- Generate, provide, and update quotes to customers.
- Coordinate with sales and management to obtain and relay
project appropriate pricing as needed.
- Collaborate with import and transportation teams on the most
suitable delivery options for our customers as needed.
- Notate project details for reference and review.
- Enter and maintain sales orders:
- Clearly and concisely confirm sales order details to
customers.
- Provide lead times and delivery information in a timely
fashion.
- Utilize on hand inventory efficiently
- Coordinate with purchasing team on project based special order
materials.
- Coordinate with importing and transportation teams on delivery
of goods.
- Troubleshoot and resolve various issues that arise during the
lifecycle of the project with the assistance of internal and
external partners as well as management.
- Notate order details for reference and review.
- Apply relevant information of our national specification
programs.
- Review and update open order reports.
- Collaborate with sales and management on pull through of
quotes.Skills Required:
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Problem solving and conflict resolution
- Organizing, prioritizing and multi-task in a high-pressure
environment
- Time managementEducation and Knowledge:
- Construction industry and/or distribution knowledge
preferred
- Sales Support
- Associates degree or higher preferred
- Microsoft Office
- SAP Business One preferredExperience:
- 5 or more years in customer service and or project coordination
preferredPhysical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk working on a computer and
telephone.
