As an Network and Firewall Security Engineer at Solvay for IT & OT
perimeters, you will be delivering the proper network security
solutions deployed across the group, ensuring the appropriate level
of service through service contract and continuous improvement of
the service.
The perimeter will include the support around Firewall, LAN and WAN
security components (NAC, web filtering and proxies, Radius, DNS,
NTP, Ipam---) ensuring applications run securely and
efficiently.
Security should bring a competitive advantage to the business by
proposing security and business continuity by design. As part of
the security operation team, you will have to ensure proper level
of service delivered by our service providers and have clear and
continuous communication with Group security teams.
We think security, privacy and compliance are quality attributes
instead of separate departments. Design security solutions should
be scalable to meet the needs of today's rapidly changing
environments.
Use your solid understanding of authentication protocols, core
network and system security principles along with your up-to-date
understanding of modern attack patterns and methods to drive
security into tools used by Solvay employees and customers every
day.
Act as a service owner of the security solution you are responsible
for:
Monitor closely delivered security service
Manage the technical debt of your solution and the associated
continuous improvement plan
Work with the Security engineering team in order to make you
continuous improvement plan being handle
Answer internal and external audit
Being part of security incident response
Level 2 support of any security solution as well as participating
in any Incident Response Team (SOC).

Collaborates closely with the Security engineering teams
Works with infrastructure, Cloud and Identity Management security
engineers ensuring correct release management of solutions
Works with Product Managers to provide enterprise solutions to
specific business problems and issues across multiple domains
ITIL and service oriented mindset will be key
Have 3-5 years of security experience working with major firewall
platforms (Palo Alto, Juniper, Cisco, Fortinet, etc.). Certificate
for any of the platforms is a plus.
Understand baseline security requirements and platform hardening
principles.
Have a good knowledge of networking - either classic (switching,
dynamic routing protocols, static and rule-based routing, etc.) or
cloud (VPC, peering, gateways, SD-WAN secure fabric). Certificate
in any networking area is a plus.
Have a good knowledge of encryption and tunneling protocols (PKI,
IPSec, SSL VPN, TLS, IKE, IKEv2, etc.)
Understand application protocols in context of OSI network layers
and content inspection (Load-balancing, WAF, IPS, IDS, etc.)
Experience with threat modeling and risk assessments and incident
response.
Knowledge of browser-based security controls such as CSP, HSTS,
XFO.
Knowledge of common authentication technologies including OAuth,
SAML, CAs, OTP/TOTP.
Have good experience creating design documents (HLD, LLD) diagrams
and presentations
Have a good analytical mindset for problem solving under stress and
time pressure.

You will get:
The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this
position is $100k to $145k. Since actual compensation packages are
based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may
ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range.
Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other
incentives.
