Job Description:
Responsibilities
The GI Lab Technician 2 assists the nurses and physicians in
providing care for the endoscopy patient and is
competent in ERCP, EUS and Wall Stint placement. The technician
also supports the area with duties that include,
but are not limited to preparation of the procedure room and
sterile field to ensure a safe patient care environment
including gathering all required instruments and supplies and
serving as surgical assistant. The job also includes
transportation of patients and equipment, stocking/maintaining
supplies, care and maintenance of endoscopes and
their accessories contributing to the daily functions of the unit.
Collaboration with all members of the Wellstar health
care team. Must be proficient with all cases done in GI lab and
have at least (2-3) years of acute GI Lab experience.
