The position is based in Alpharetta and is part of the Legal Department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Conduct financial planning and review of Legal Department spend including budgeting and forecasting, managing law firm and vendor invoices, generating purchase orders, tracking spend, evaluating law firm pricing and negotiating favorable terms for Avanos. Prepare related reports and presentations for General Counsel. * Provide key support to Corporate Secretary function including canvasing Board directors/Senior Leadership team availability, scheduling all Board meetings (quarterly, annual, ad hoc and committee meetings), assisting with creation of agendas, Board materials collection/organization for posting, circulating approved minutes and other documents for signature, and coordinating Board directors' travel and expense reimbursement. * Assist globally with Business License applications, administer renewals and coordinate filing fees and renewal payments. * For Annual Reports, coordinate quarterly tax payments for DE, annual renewal payments, and assist with compiling required information for CSC. * Assist with administration and maintenance of contract management system by administering group mailbox, uploading executed contracts, running reports and providing training to employees. * Liaise between the Legal team, external third parties, and other internal stakeholder teams to review and properly respond to various types of legal matters. * Assist with case management, such as, keeping track of deadlines, managing data preservation, assisting in data collection and productions, and working with outside counsel as needed. * Working with the General Counsel, identify and assist with implementing resource and process improvements within the Legal Department and with stakeholders in other departments. * Represent Legal Department in cross-functional projects and ensure that Legal's requirements are understood and implemented by other teams and departments. * Provide such other services as assigned including coverage for administrative staff. Your qualifications Technical Requirements: * Bachelor's degree. * Proficient in Business Administration or Finance. * A minimum of seven years of work experience including at least five years in a dynamic and fast-paced environment legal environment such as a law firm or in-house legal team. Personal Attributes: * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail. * Ability to think ahead and anticipate issues before they arise. Proactively seek improvements to processes/systems and sees projects through to completion. * Strong time management and prioritization skills.
