Job Overview and Responsibilities The candidate will support and lead Supply Chain Excellence projects focused on, but not limited to Procurement processes. The candidate will own the Procurement process and lead the definition & design of new process standards and tools, fostering standardization and harmonization across the GBU. * Analyze and provide expertise for Procurement processes, tools, and performance improvement (OTIF, Non conformances, Tail end , vendor reduction, Supplier performance, Payment terms, Supplier risk,.....) * Be accountable for the effective and successful performance driven transformation of these processes to sustainably augment Solvay's capabilities * Identify, evaluate, propose and deploy tools, processes, concepts and solutions to support process effectiveness and performance. * Measure process effectiveness and performance through a set of KPI's. * Accompany IT-experts on tools implementation projects to, in parallel, ensure process transformation. * Challenge current ways of working * Manage the processes to exchange best practices and to capture innovative ideas. * Ensure an efficient transfer as well as maintenance support, once the project has been delivered. * Build and forge effective relationships with all internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery, including but not limited to R&I, Marketing, Industrial, HSE, Quality, and Finance functions. * Participate in projects managed by other departments (sales, manufacturing, purchasing---) that impact the SC processes or organization. Education and Experience * Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Chemical or Industrial Engineering Skills * 5-7 years of experience in Supply Chain domain * Operational experience in chemical or process industry preferred * SAP P2P preferred * Strong knowledge of other Supply Chain processes (planning, logistics, transport and distribution) * Robust project management and transformational skills * Demonstrated ability to work in a global environment, with cross functional teams and in project mode. * Strong oral/written communication and computer skills * Analytic skills and IT (Excel, SAP, BO & BW, etc.) * Fluent in English * High degree of autonomy
