Job Description
The Director, Supply Chain Programs, leads a multi-functional team
supporting strategic areas of the CHEP US Supply Chain, delivering
results through coordination, collaboration, support, technical and
strategic leadership in fleet management, sustainability, real
estate, physical site security, plant hourly staff career
development programs, and the CHEP North America automotive
business.
SCOPE
Most of the key accountabilities of this role span CHEP US while
other accountabilities also include CHEP Canada (for real estate)
and CHEP Canada and CHEP Mexico (for automotive operations).
Travel Required: 25-50%
Leadership: 4 Direct Reports, 16 Indirect
Location: Greater Orlando Area or Atlanta and the surrounding
areas. This is not a "remote " position, it is a hybrid role with
office presence.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead fleet operations (forklifts and hostlers) for CHEP Services,
Pallecon and Automotive, accountable for long-range strategy,
inventory management and accuracy, management of service providers,
maintenance cost controls and reporting.
Lead the North America Automotive operations team focused on
people, safety, cost, customer service and network expansion /
optimization as the business grows.
Serve as sponsor and advisor for the development, implementation
and ongoing support and improvement to the hourly plant staff
career development program.
Act as the single point of contact for all US supply chain
decarbonization and zero waste initiatives effectively influencing
initiative owners to stay on target and provide accurate and timely
updates for senior leadership.
Lead the development and implementation of decarbonization and zero
waste initiatives for CHEP US operations.
Lead / facilitate the CHEP NA real estate process for new sites,
renewals, and closures from concept through to final approvals
while staying focused on optimizing / controlling costs.
Lead the development and implementation of physical site security
standards in cooperation with global HSE and facilities team in
sourcing.

Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, engineering,
business mgt. or similar required
Desirable Qualifications
MBA or post-graduate qualification in a supply chain discipline
Continuing education courses related to real estate, sourcing,
negotiation, logistics, etc.
EXPERIENCE
7-10 years of manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution experience
with at least 3 years in a management capacity.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Must be able to communicate with all levels of an organization,
both internal and external.
Must have a demonstrated success record in developing and leading
cross-functional teams that deliver results on time, on target and
on budget.
Must have demonstrated success in negotiating skills.
Must be able to work independently and lead remote teams.
Must have experience of developing and successfully implementing
both safety and quality management programs.
Must be willing to travel extensively and at times on short
notice.
