  • Review all proposal specs, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine the scope of work and required contents of each estimate
  • Utilize historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, and productivity analysis reports into accurate unit and man-hour figures
  • Prepare estimates, including calculating complete takeoffs
  • Coordinate total estimating effort relevant to each particular bid/project
  • Maintain files to working documents as back-up for all estimating figures
  • Interface directly with owners, A/Es, and other contractors to provide engineering and cost data regarding project feasibility
  • Follow awarded contracts, including estimating extra work items, change orders, credits, procuring material, etc
  • Perform additional assignments as directedRequirements:
    • Bachelors Degree in engineering, construction, or other related field OR equivalent technical training
    • Junior Estimator: 1-4 years estimating experience
    • Estimator: 5-8 years estimating experience
    • Understanding of estimating techniques and cost controls
    • Experience using On-Screen or other take-off software
    • Experience with Estimating Software like Timberline or DESTINI
